Re: Vic-K

Thanks Pigfender for letting us know. I had been worrying about his absence.

And thank you Vic-K.

Re: Where is Photographer?

Turn right. Take three steps. Close your eyes. Take 1.5 steps back. Turn left. Hum top 40 hit. Change your identity (very important). Open Scrivener and create "Where is a photographer" file. Write your answer in the Research section. Compile as a PDF. If you are very, very lucky, the outp...

A quick look at 1.3.3 says the same image posting problem remains.

Re: Keep imported word file as .doc or .docx

I agree. I tried to do this using "File:Import:Research Files as Aliases..." but it would not let me choose a Word file at all.

This worked for me.

I don't know about custom settings, but all my recent documents are still there, unchanged.

Re: Great new version

I can only agree with the previous posters. I have not started moving old files over to v3. I am working through the tutorial first. I am very impressed with the attention to detail in the interface. You have obviously thought very carefully about how people use the program and worked very hard to m...

Activation every time

Has anyone else run into this: I have both Scriv 2 and Scriv 3 on my Mac (and I need to use both for the time being). - When I first opened Scriv 3, the eSellerate engine asked me to activate, and that worked. - I then opened Scriv 2 and eSellerate asked me to activate. That worked. Now: - If I have...

Re: Forum software changes (I don't know where to put this)

Well, I feel dumb.

You know what the problem is: I did not notice the links because they are an almost invisible dark brown on darker brown, and somehow I did not mouse over them.

Thanks

Forum software changes (I don't know where to put this)

Argghh.! You have taken away the "New Posts" link from the top of the forum pages. I cannot function without it. The "Unread Posts" in the hamburger menu is not the same thing! There will always be hundreds of posts I have not read. What I want to see every morning is what is new...

Re: Can one make a link in the Binder to another item in the binder?

I believe that what Biff is asking for is what DevonThink calls "replicants", which is one document that appears in multiple places. If you change one you change all, since it is the same content. (That sounds like an alias to me, but DT calls them replicants.)

Re: Comments and/or Footnotes at Bottom of Page

Just another note. I see that the two previous posters are both on Windows. I am on Mac.

I hope the compile settings offer the same possibilities in the Windows version of Scriv (but I can't check).
