Re: Unable to launch Scrivener on Linux Ubuntu Studio 16.10 64 bit

Not entirely true. I have scrivener running under Ubuntu 17.04. But you have to manually install some older libraries. [...] It starts, but doesn't close properly. Nothing is guaranteed. Isn't that the truth! Anyone into linux/POSIX since the beginning is used to that, though! We'd rather show up t...

I'm pretty sure there are videos of it on Mac out there... I'm 99% sure I saw one.

Re: On the Issue of Bloatware

Just a comment. When I hear of bloatware, I think of wikipedia's definition: "The term "Bloatware" is also used to describe unwanted preinstalled software or bundled programs." It seems here you are referring to product slowness with no perceivabe benefit, or extra features that ...

Thanks, AmberV! Perfect!

Re: Scrivener don't open before one hour long

Oh my ! SpringfieldMH, THANK YOU. I didn't think to force the compatibility to my own system... Feeling a little silly now. (It 's king of strange to force the soft to open with a window 7 compatibility on a windows 7 but well, it works !). I'm so glad this soft works great again. Very very thank y...

Where/How Would I Upload A Template?

I'm just curious. I made a full project template, and am using it for making suites of demonstrations (kind of like a storyboard at first, then gets actual copy, and used to read from as copy when recording with video)... But the question is, is there a place where people upload & catalogue them...

Re: Affordable Citation Software that Works with Scrivener

Trying Zotero now.. Nifty niche! Appreciate the tip! I'm not even sure if I need citation software, as I'm writing a non-fiction piece that isn't a "reference". I'm just writing about what I do for a living. I see folks raving about EndNote, which goes for $249-$299USD. Is that level of in...

Re: Scrivener don't open before one hour long

Jerome, Developers can fix that easy with an Asynchronous timeout. I don't see any additional printers, so I wonder why it sits there... Re-install as Administrator like I suggested above? Maybe Scrivener isn't Top Dog in the permissions stack for the spooler? Was there something in the print queue ...

Re: Scrivener don't open before one hour long

Another great tool to help L&L get to the bottom of this: the Process Explorer program from Microsoft/Sysinternals. Properly configured, you can see every system, file, and registry call your program is making and find out what it's hanging up on. I would offer to do it, but my Scrivener 1.9.6 ...

Re: Scrivener don't open before one hour long

KingYami, Because I'm not an expert in Scrivener, maybe I can help from a computer perspective. These questions may seem simple or obvious, so forgive me. Usually something this huge comes from a simple [hidden] reason. Q: When you start Windows, does everything else run as expected? Q: When you sta...

Freeform Corkboard in Windows release expectations?

Scrivener Windows v1.9.6.0 - 03 Aug 2016 Digging using this a lot... I am even using it for work writing... Templates are a life-saver. Looked in archives, and though mentioned many times, no release dates from the roadmap are mentioned. I read about 'paid updates', etc., and a lot people wishing, ...
