Can I select non-contiguous text (paragraphs) in a script-formatted document?

Lost all my formatting (styles). Need to re-paste but hoping to save keystrokes.

Re: Scrivener and Scrivener 3 beta has bad touch experience for binder

Similar issue here. My project has a lot of scenes and with a slip of the finger, I can find one getting out of sequence easily. I have a feeling a lot of this is due to the touch screen on the Surface Pro (I have an older one) as well as the UI with Scrivener's skinny scroll bar. Even using an elec...

Re: Beta expiration: tonight or tomorrow night?

Midnight user time? Or UK time? Whoops, that was unclear, sorry! User time. When I go to help>updates, I'm told to click the "Download Update" button. Where is it? There should be both a "Download Update" and "Cancel" button at the bottom of the Check for Updates windo...

Re: Beta expiration: tonight or tomorrow night?

The betas run through the day listed, so Beta 6 doesn't expire until midnight August 1st. That said, Beta 7 is out. :) Where do I find it? Same link as the one I used to download this version? Thanks for all your hard work! Pam When I go to help>updates, I'm told to click the "Download Update&...

Character style issue in IOS

I am using a paragraph style (named Narrator ) in my story. When I need to use italics I then add the character style emphasis . My problem is that after adding the character style to a word and I then want to continue writing with non-italicized words, I cannot change the style to toggle off the em...

Problem duplicating index cards.

I want to duplicate text pages (index cards) and seem to have run into a snafu. In cork board view I select “Edit” then select the cards I want to duplicate and then cmd-option-D. Nothin’.
What am I missing?

Thanks, Brookter.
I feared it would come down to this. I'll look into keyboard maestro. Once upon a time among Word geeks I was the macro king. Gotta keep up.

Re: Search manually-applied italics with character style (ie: Emphasis)

EDIT: this is the process for the Mac V3. Not sure whether it's been implemented yet on the Windows Beta, but presumably it will eventually work the same way. Sorry if I've confused matters.... Set up your character style first (eg Emphasis). Then go to some text with the standard Italics, and sele...

Search manually-applied italics with character style (ie: Emphasis)

I've been applying italics manually to words in my manuscript but I've learned from e-book producers that the proper way to do this would be to use character STYLES instead. This makes perfect sense. Problem is, Although Scrivener allows me to search for italicised characters or words in a project o...

[LH2734] Viewing Web Page Imports in Research

When I import a web page in the binder under Research, then click in editor, I notice the link is at the bottom of the screen below the page. The link works but I wonder how I might be able to see the actual page within Scrivener itself.. Normally I use the Mac version and there's no issue. Is what ...

Re: Hidden Characters; Is there a way to view them?

Thanks for the answer. When I’m away from home I’m using the windows Beta and the iOS versions. I suppose that’s why the hidden characters option was hidden from my sight. .

Hidden Characters; Is there a way to view them?

I’ve been unable to find a way to view hidden characters such as tabs and paragraph marks. Assuming it’s not available but I’d love to be proven wrong.

Re: [BB] Problems resizing

If you can’t hide the toolbar, I think the best workaround for applying and saving changes is to carefully use the tab key and tab to where the highlight should land on the Save or Apply buttons. Then tap Return.

Re: tracking individual participants with tagging, keywords, or meta data?

Seems like a simple word searchfrom the top of the binder will do the trick.
