iOS Scrivener vs macOS Scrivener V3

I have converted my book from V2 to V3 and have used styles in quite a few places. It is a technical book so there are many images and figures. I had briefly tried the iOS version but didn't use it much. I am now in a position where using my iPad would be nice. However, there are a few important thi...

Linked image behaviour

When I add images using Insert => Image Linked to File sometimes the images overlaps the text above in the source file (.scriv). To see the text I have to add 4 "returns." It looks OK in the output because I have Scrivener handle multiple blank lines so the extra lines don't show up. Attac...

Re: CSS Styling for EPUB3 & KF8

Scrivener has the CSS style working well now that I understand that I have another dozen styles to create, load into Scrivener in two places and maybe also custom style. I still have two problems: 1. On the layout for a "Titled Section" such a "Preface" I have styled the Section ...

CSS Styling for EPUB3 & KF8

After getting the V3 custom styling looking good for my PDF paperback version of the book, I started looking at the CSS styling options available to me. I was very pleased that my styles passed thru to the CSS with reasonable settings. However, the most important ones are missing! My book has chapte...

I have a zippe-up small project (1.1MB) and can't attach it here since it is too big. Tell me how you want it.

Re: HTML Errors in EPUB3 Oputput

I did some more testing and removing all formatting and links in this selection makes the error go away. This isn't surprising. But considering that the Heading 2 above this section is correctly ended, I don't know why the extra ending </h2> are coming from. Boy-oh-boy is it great to have a nice and...

PDF line numbers?

Is it possible to have line numbers on the PDF output from Scrivener V3? It would really be great for getting feedback during the proofreading phase of a project. I suppose that adding the line numbers after Scrivener produced the PDF file would be ok if the page numbers didn't change. Anybody know ...

HTML Errors in EPUB3 Oputput

I finally got my converted book to look ok in epub2 and went on to try EPUB3. I got errors! I am not sure how many because the tools only tell you about the first, but I saw several others in the HTML Attached are three images: The input, The error message, the actual html. The html error is that th...

V3 losing Section Layout Assignments

After a lot of work and learning, I got my book to look ok as a PDf document. I had used structured assignments for about 95% of the pages. Then I went to try a Kindle MOBI output. I was shocked to see: 1. Compile didn't remember much from my work on the PDF, so I would have to re-do it for an eBook...

V3 Bugs PDF Table of Contents a others

While converting a book that was started with V2.8, I created a new V3 project “General Non-Fiction” and tweaked it to use hierarchal \$<hn> numbering. Then I add two chapters and created a “Test and Scrivener Examples” page that had footnotes, styles, and all sorts of tests of content that were in ...

That was the first thing that I set, but I they still show up at the bottom of pages. After AL LOT more searching I found two more settings that are required on the Compile General settings

V3 EndNote Question

I have two V3 PFD-style books in progress. One has all of the footnotes at the end and the other has them at the bottom of pages. I have the Compile => Foot & Endnote settings the same. I have an Endnote page just before the back matter with the magic endnote placeholder. What is the V3 magic to...

Re: V3 PDF Table of Contents Problems

This is one place where creating a "Body" style will really mess you up! Using a style and "As-Is" is problematic in the TOC.
