Re: Portable presets and templates? Changing default location of presets?

Thx again. But I do backup to my cloud, but opening a project on another pc does not sync my presets and templates? Or do they. Any ideas on how to achieve this? Best.

Re: Portable presets and templates? Changing default location of presets?

Thanks a lot for nice advices and for taking your time. Running Scrivener from a cloud service, as mentioned in the "Cubby"-example - wouldn't that make Scrivener lag a lot? I am running from a USB now, and it lags. Best.

Portable presets and templates? Changing default location of presets?

Dear forum, I would like to have both my templates and compile presets synced when I work on my different machines. As long as I understand, then you have to work from a USB? I started doing this, but Scrivener is laggy. Is there some way to 1) Create a procject - and have its presets/templates als...

Re: Help compiling 3 levels (part, chapter, subchapter)

I love this software, but I really want to understand the structure of folders combined with the formatting options on compile. Any suggestions? I have searched and searched. The advice given above on using the preset "Novel with parts" got me closer than anything. But still I feel very un...

Re: Codes for compiler

Thank you so much for making this list. As I am new to Scrivener, but kind of form/structure freak, I would love to understand more about the hierachy in the format options. There are several folders/documents, named like "1+" and "1+" (document) and so on. What happens when I ad...

How to save out compile presets for different PCs?

When setting a compile preset on my home pc the preset does not show up on my laptop? Where is the preset stored? How can I s...

Is there a list of "tags" or "separators" or "codes" for compiling anywhere?

Hi. I am trying to setup a custom layout to compile (3 levels: 1) Part 2) Chapter 3) Scene.
I have been searching the internet for days to find a code (in brackets) that make my Chapter heading Capitalized? And other codes, Is there a list of these anywhere? Thank you so much in advance ;)

Re: Help compiling 3 levels (part, chapter, subchapter)

Could I be that frankly to attach my file as I do not understand it? The first Part is empty. Then it starts rolling from part 2? I see no option to attatch files here - so we might have to exchange email adresses? Best, Mads.

Re: Help compiling 3 levels (part, chapter, subchapter)

Hi again. This works - greatly. But something goes wrong with the first chapter. It says "Part I (my folder name for the part)" - followed by NO text document or chapter heading. This takes first takes effect when Scrivener compile the NEXT folder, part II. Here I get "Part II (my fol...

Re: Help compiling 3 levels (part, chapter, subchapter)

Hi there,
Tanks for an answer. I was speaking about the compile-process. Not autonumbering the folder/binder-structure :)

Help compiling 3 levels (part, chapter, subchapter)

Hi, I have been struggling to achieve this for 2 days. Anyone that could help me? I am not a tech guy, so a "step by step"-run through would be DEEPLY appreciated: I have a manuscript I would like to organize this way: Level 1: Part (a folder?). Ranging from 1-4 (say). In Part 1 I would li...
