Re: [will there be a...] NiAD 2019**

Yo Baconator... Apparently I'm supposed to behave like a grownup and make plans months in advance. Are we running the "excuse to get slobberingly intoxicated" again this year? Oh, was supposed to have gotten drunk during the last one? I just had coffee... That’s all we give Jaysen, but......

Re: What fonts do you use?

I use a variety of fonts. For me, this is a very interesting topic. Currently I am using Friz-quadrata or Albertus Medium for titles and headings. They are beautiful flared fonts that is between san-serif and serif in that there is no obvious serif but the endings are wider than the body giving the...

Re: Benefits of a College education

Nice post. I like infographics that communicate clearly and with a story. Unfortunately, this particular one is misleading as it presents their situation as if it was an outcome of their education (correlation is not causation), While things look grim for Jim, and good for Joe, the stats (from U.S. ...

Correlation* is not causation. *(and I’m not even convinced of the correlation) Unfortunately this is not something that you can do a double blind test on. Physics, like history, manages OK without double blind placebo control experiments and the same simple rule applies equally to them both: corre...

Yes.

Re: Revisit previous years events?

I suspect that the Baconator would give you a different chapter making it a different experience entirely. Maybe you need to remind him at sign up time. Am I missing something obvious? Probably. But there’s a strong chance I am too. Maybe it's the fact I see my efforts as writing a short story more...

Re: Revisit previous years events?

Back on topic: I don’t know how I feel about rewriting the early books. Part of me is interested (anything that gets me writing fiction has a strong start) but at the same time it seems... “wrong” somehow. Maybe it feels more like an academic writing exercise than creating something new? I don’t kno...
