Many thanks for pointing this out - very helpful. I had just "XSLT". :-(

Scrivener ignoring user-specified XSLT for MMD

I am using latest beta but it is ignoring a custom XSLT in MultiMarkdown settings and looking for memoir.xslt irrespectively. The custom xslt file is in ~/Library/Application Support/MultiMarkdown/XSLT If I remove memoir.xslt from that folder I get an error saying it can't find memoir.xslt so it is ...

Maybe I spoke a little too soon. I noted I still had two copies of Scrivener lurking: the project was opening with an older version. Having sorted that out, the new beta did have to update the project file and all seems well... ...except now if I double click the project file to launch it, I get an ...

Many thanks - that was really helpful to know. In fact it opened the first copy I had saved with 1.3 that contained the updates I had made without feeling the need to update the file format. I must say I was greatly relieved that it didn't even try. ;-)

Best wishes

Project corrupted by format update?

I recently opened an old project in Scrivener 1.3 and agreed to the request to update the file format. I worked on it for a while, then saved and quit. Now when I try to open the project (3.6MB), it wants to update the file format again. I let it, and ended up with an empty project (12K). After quit...

The typewriter scrolling feature in full page view is excellent, especially as I am fortunate in having a 30in Cinema Display. A minor gripe though is that the cursor/text entry position for a blank page is at the top of the page: centering it vertically only happens when one has typed sufficient te...

Instead of going about things in the "are you sure?" manner, Scrivener uses the trash can metaphor. Interesting (and thank goodness it does, even if I hadn't RTFM). In the Finder, however, the delete key does nothing: one has to drag stuff into the Trash explicitly. Perhaps this could be ...

Phew: thanks for the speedy resonse! > Whilst undo does not work in the binder (owing to various technical > difficulties with Undo in general - you will find exactly the same > lack of undo behaviour in similar apps such as Ulysses and Copywrite), mmm. well, I'm not familiar with these. Undo delete

Having just selected a (rather large) section of a complex document in the binder and accidentally hit delete instead of return (I intended to start a new section) I was pretty peeved to find I was unable to undo the (accidental) action. This is serious. Unless I am missing something I have just los...

I agree entirely. My thoughts were for the future: we can debate the issues another time. For me the integration of MMD and Scrivener is a fantastic concept (assuming I can get the backend to work - haven't gone there yet!). As I plough my way through an update of this particular magnum opus I am re...

Thanks all for the speedy responses! The simple answer, obviouly, is to ensure a blank line (ie 2 newlines) between the header and first paragraph. That's easy enough. I can cope with that. mmm -- but it does leave me just a litle dissatisfied. I don't really understand *why*. If it's valid MMD to h...

Missing paragraphs after MMD import

(First let me say that I have just come across Scrivener and I am mightily impressed. It is presently vying with TextMate for my attention!) I just imported a lengthy manual in MMD format. (This was originally entirely in TeX but I am retro-converting it to MMD to make it easier to publish as XHTML ...
