Re: Which Linux distro do you use for Scrivener?

I'm using "scrivener latest-1" from AUR on Arch-64 with Xfce.

I need styles to be working to really use it, though.

Re: 17th MAY - BETA 024 RELEASED FOR LINUX

The file I get is LinuxScrivenerBeta14.tgz -- is this just mislabeled? Also on 32-bit Archlinux it doesn't run for me, even after the above fix for the libraries. /home/data/LiteratureAndLatte/bin/Scrivener: symbol lookup error: /home/data/LiteratureAndLatte/bin/Scrivener: undefined symbol: _ZN19QTe...

Re: Does Scrivener Obviate OmniOutliner?

Thanks for all the feedback. I've been busy playing around, trying out various things, but it looks like Scrivener will almost certainly become my main app for collecting and handling all kinds of text -- journals, fragments, book projects, to do lists, notes, etc. In the final analysis, the reasoni...

Re: Does Scrivener Obviate OmniOutliner?

Thanks for helping me through this transition to the world of Mac, Hugh. My thoughts right now are that Scrivener is enough to accommodate my needs. I generate a lot of text day by day that I want to eventually organize and process, sift into categories, split off into projects, and the like. I like...

Re: Does Scrivener Obviate OmniOutliner?

I know some people use [OmniOutliner] for other purposes, such as storage and general note-taking, but as far as I'm concerned there are Mac applications better designed to do those jobs. I'd appreciate advice on those apps. Like I say, I'm kind of new to the Mac. The "yes" part of my ans...

Does Scrivener Obviate OmniOutliner?

Historically I've been a Linux guy, but I've been leaning toward using OS X for writing since I bought a mini to play around with. I know from reading around this forum that some people who had OmniOutliner before they got Scrivener still use it as part of their workflow. What I'm wondering is wheth...

Re: Linux user thread

To be honest, I'd recently decided not to upgrade Scrivener to version 2 because it wasn't interoperable enough for me. I use all platforms -- mainly Linux, and sometimes Windows and Mac. So I was planning on dropping by here to leave a sad note that though Scrivener really looked interesting, I cou...
