Re: Per Project Personal Word list

It's probably not that hard for them to automate -- but now that's a feature that Windows has that Mac and iOS *can't* have. What happens to the custom word list for those of us who sync projects between multiple platforms? That'll cause more support tickets than just not having the feature to begi...

Re: Per Project Personal Word list

As said, it supports a single custom word list already and from what I've seen this feature should also be in the IoS/Macos version. assuming they both use wordlist.ini (what the windows version uses) This is the point I keep making. macOS and iOS use the built-in OS-provided spelling system which ...

Re: Per Project Personal Word list

Yes, I suppose you *can* keep bringing up stuff on the Wish List that L&L has already said they won't do, but that doesn't mean the rest of us can't also weigh in. Also, "have some understanding of how the software industry works" != "insider knowledge" just to be clear. Jus...

Re: Per Project Personal Word list

We are bound to the limitations of the third-party spelling library we have to use because Windows doesn't provide a system-wide one like OS X. We are bound to keep our formats interoperable. Having per-project spelling lists on Windows that disappear when the project is synced on iOS or OS X would...

Re: Per Project Personal Word list

I'm afraid this isn't possible because the spell-checking system is provided by macOS, and there is no way to have it learn or ignore words on a project-by-project basis because the spell-checker is global. All the best, Keith What about windows? Yeah. Us windows users aren't bound to those MacOs l...

Per Project Personal Word list

As a story writer one thing that constantly frustrates me about scrivener is that the spellcheck feature really seems to lack a key feature. Personal wordlists are nice but the fact that the list is applied globally kinda kneecaps it, the ability to have the list linked to the project rather than th...

Status Changes

I'm actually sort of surprised that this isn't a feature. It would be nice if setting the status of a folder applied it to all the subcolders and files. Would save a lot of time to noty have to mark each and every scene as Revised when I could just as easily select the chapter and have it carry forw...

Re: Punctuation Mark Tally

Well that depends on your writing process. For writers like myself, the first draft is usually a hot mess and from there it is a steady journey of refinement. Now one method of refining comes from restructuring sentences. A quick scan for say, semi-colons, em-dashes , or colons, could be used to as ...

Punctuation Mark Tally

Okay, It already counts the frequency of words and what not, why not do the same for punctuation marks. It would make draft revisions much easier and fluid if you could get an idea if you might be over using semi-colons, colons, commas or em dashes.

Project Targets and FOoter bar

Query: Is there any way to put the Project Target and Session Targets in the footer bar as well or perhaps use those instead of the document target?

Enhanced Split and Timer

First off. A timer. IT's one of the nifty features of Q10 that I think would be a nice touch. Setting ones's self a timed writing challenge is always a thing for writers but not having to go to an external app or such would be nice. The second one is a little more complex. I don't know how many othe...

Re: Question and Maybe Feature sucggestion

It's called cut and paste... Cut your selection and paste it into a new doc without all the work and filling a program with rarely needed fluff as the devs don't want it to become bloat ware. That's rather rude. How would that proposed feature be anumore bloat that quite a few of the other situatio...
