Re: Scriv 1 to Scriv 3

Great, thanks. I'm leaving my very capable 2014 Air for one of the new M1 Macbook Pros, and I have some old Scriv1 files hanging around. I will run them through my copy of 2 before I do the transfer. For what it's worth, I love my old Air. With one battery change, it works just fine. I was seduced b...

Scriv 1 to Scriv 3

This has probably been answered, but I couldn't find it. Can files from Scriv 1be updated directly into Scriv 3, or do you have to take the intermediate step of updating in Scriv 2? Thanks in advance.

Re: Scriv 3, the Forum and the new 'Flatter' look

Hah -- a plague on both your huts. We Deceanglii sat around here minding our own business and worshipping the River Dee (Long May Her Waters Flow), when Tacitus' lot came and built a fortress on it and started boasting about invading Hibernia. Then they buggered off up North to do a bit of Pict Pal...

Re: Anything to share about Scrivener 3.0?

OOOOkay. As of now (12:19GMT) this forum is a mess. L&L seems to be down. No Scrivener at all in the Mac store. Hmm. Do you think he just ran screaming out of the door, never to be heard from again?

Re: Anything to share about Scrivener 3.0?

At this rate a sheep dip launch party sounds about right! Huh? Must be a British thing. Maybe Kiwi's will understand this. First of all, does sheep dip taste a little bit like blue cheese? I like feta. Is it like that? Do you eat this with chips? Please translate for us poor unwashed shellfish. edi...

Re: Anything to share about Scrivener 3.0?

"With Scrivener, L&L has a well-earned reputation for releasing mature, stable software that's just awesome at what it's supposed to do." That's the problem! I am neither mature, nor stable. God knows I am not good at what I am supposed to do. No wonder I can't finish my work with a sn...

Re: Anything to share about Scrivener 3.0?

It could all be a trick, you know,... Version 3 could just be an idea cooked up by that silly brit to see how long he could string all of us gullible english majors along, dreaming about non-existent software that, with miraculous new coding, will write our drivel for us. Yes, Version Three, like Pl...

Re: Anything to share about Scrivener 3.0?

Hey. I get paid on the 31st. Very soon after that, my paycheck explodes in all directions toward various insurance companies (i.e. leeches) car maintenance, gas, heat and food for three people, two dogs, one cat, a goat, five chickens and two geese. Luckily, the goat likes saltines, which are cheap,...

My short story isn't finished. Yet. Instead of doing what I'm supposed to be doing, I'm reading your drivel. Therefore, I blame you.

Re: Buying from App Store

I bought mine on the app store. Then, I bought a copy for my daughter on the app store. Now, I'm gonna buy two new copies on the app store. It is a very inexpensive program, and we both use it all the time. I don't mind paying a couple of clams to help keep the wheels at L&L turning, and I like ...

Hah! We bottom feeders know that it is far, far easier to hack a politician's emails than it is to get that information.
