Re: UK pricing?

Quit bitching! I live in in Australia so that $19.99USD = $30.99 here. Cost of living is higher here and wages haven't moved in 6 years. And don't believe the lifestyle propaganda our (barely effective) government puts out! We work like mules and when we actually have the time to enjoy the great ou...

Re: how do i set the template folder

thanks for that explanation. I followed your instructions without much success until I figured out that one accesses the templates via the File> New Project menu. I was using the File>Open menu and File>Import and also not understanding the purpose of the categories in the New Project window. Cleare...

how do i set the template folder

I am wanting to use templates but get a message that the templates folder has not been set - there is templates folder that has been created during the install process, but it seems scrivener has not pointed itself to it

thanks, Greg

Re: importing md (markdown) files

thanks for your thoughts - unfortunately drag and drop does not work on the/my windows version. Copy/paste is what I am trying to avoid - I'm trying to get a workflow moving between iOS and win10 but waiting for the iOS scrivener app and syncing via dropbox might end up being quicker :)

Re: Cloud Sync

re dropbox downloading - my experience using Windows is that you log on to the dropbox website, rightclick on the folder you want to download, click "download" and a zip file of that folder including all subfolders etc downloads. Unless you have a synced local copy in which case Dropbox w...

Re: Cloud Sync

what do you mean by "cloud sync"? If you have your files stored on something like dropbox you should be able to open them from any computer running Scrivener. Not sure if there is some Mac vs PC incompatibility as I only use a PC. But storing "in the cloud" should be no different...

Thanks lunk and nontroppo, your comments are a real help to get me focussing on some techniques to try. It does sound very flexible. Scrivenings sounds incredibly useful.

Re: Academic non-fiction workflow? (dealing with citations)

as someone who is thinking of using Scrivener on Windows for academic writing I am wondering what is the main advantage you find in workflow over just using MSWord. The various workarounds to include say Zotero - which I currently use - seem fairly clunky so I am assuming there is some pay off elsew...

Re: page view

thanks - I find being able to control the scan width for reading when I write quite important and a page view is much nicer for me than resizing the layout window
