Re: Rules for updating project targets

Some rules in this excerpt from Sec. 20.1.1 of the Scrivener manual: […]If you delete lots of text, session statistics will not start showing any progress until you have written as much again—it is perfectly possible to have a negative session word or character count! In other words, it shows your n...

Re: Line Spacing on iPad/iOS

2) I think the oversized cursor is caused by an ongoing Apple coding issue. The developer was able to code around it in macOS but not in iOS. The relevant, goofy Apple iOS code for the developer to code around––cursor drawing method––is hidden. If an L&L employee doesn't respond here to verify th...

Re: Scrivener Toolbar Locked

I'd try- Check after each step-- Reboot computer. If the issue is happening in one project, from L&L: https://scrivener.tenderapp.com/help/kb/macos-troubleshooting/resetting-a-projects-display-settings If still happening after above or if in multiple projects, from L&L: https://scrivener.ten...

Re: 2-panel Outliner mode, why one panel has larger line spacing?

It's not a bug, it's an essential Layout ingredient. The built-in “Three Panel (Outliner)” (hereafter, TPO) is just a representation of one workflow. The built-ins* are functionally useful and also exemplify the possibilities that the Saved Layouts feature presents. For example, in this case we can ...

Re: 2-panel Outliner mode, why one panel has larger line spacing?

Another possibility-- There's a Scrivener feature––at Scrivener Menu Bar > Window > Layouts... It's explained in the Scrivener Manual (accessed in the Help menu and elsewhere) v3.2.0 at Sec 12.3, Saved Layouts . In my version of Scrivener there's one stock Layout called "Three-Pane (Outline)&qu...

Re: 2-panel Outliner mode, why one panel has larger line spacing?

I’m not sure that this is what you’re experiencing but I can get what appears to be a similar effect. The button that you circled in red in the Outliner footer is a toggle to show or hide the synopsis. You can see what it’s toggled to in the Outliner header. It’ll print Title, or Title and Synopsis....

Re: Confused - Is There A Beta Version of Scrivener Windows 3?

I can see how someone might get confused if they were new to Scrivener, but advice was written in that first post: Before proceeding, please see the general notes about the Windows 3.0 beta and reporting bugs in the first reply to this thread. Please do not download the current beta or post reports ...

Re: MacOS Split Screen

@Silverdragon--Did you mean 2048 pixels wide? My question isn't a pedantic one; my display knowledge is limited. I'm learning.

A general thought (for anyone) on reports of different results with equally capable displays--could this be because some are running at scaled?
