Re: iCloud Sync

In case someone lands here and gets the impression that syncing live projects is the only way to achieve an efficient Scrivener workflow, be aware that KB made other methods possible. Besides Scrivener manuals and knowledge base articles, some additional resources: There's AirDrop–– https://support....

Re: Font Bug?

I also may be having a font bug. When I copy text from another source and paste it into a blank document, it looks like this:3A0CFA5F-4236-459C-9FC2-68A52C510557.png The spacing is set to 1. But if I make it bigger or smaller it stays like this. The font is Charter which I have been using successfu...

Re: Split screen in IOS

Jim, a little more data for your consideration for the bug report (if you choose to file one): Scrivener 1.1.5 (1301), iOS 9.3.5, iPad Mini 1... Same as my previous findings––when I edit within the Quick Reference (QR) panel in Compact or Expanded view, the double arrow expand option (and the sync i...

Re: Split screen in IOS

Scrivener 1.1.5 (1301), iOS 12.2, iPad Air 2... When I edit within the Quick Reference (QR) panel in Compact or Expanded view, the double arrow expand option (and the sync icon) isn’t visually available for the QR panel. It’s only available for the Editor. I don’t use DB sync, so this might explain ...

Re: “Remove Revisions” not working

Could be because the colors have been modernized in Scriv 3. Look up Modified Default Revision Colours in the Manual, Sec. E.10, The Devil in the Details.

Re: Scrivener with PC and Mac and ergonomics

If operating an iPad is a possibility, are you aware that Literature and Latte also has an iOS version of Scrivener (separate license): https://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener/features?os=iOS It's a wonderful accompaniment to the desktop version. Because of the nature of iOS and because of desk...

Re: Big dumb question

I’ve just discovered that Scrivener for iOS has its own ‘Back Up To...’ equivalent using the project share menu (via the Edit button or a Long Press). This way I can save archives into iCloud with both the desktop and iOS versions ( opening them on iOS using an extractor I made with the Shortcuts a...

Re: Suggested spellings no longer function under Mojave

Don’t know if this will help KB or anyone else, but this symptom was also discussed at Apple Support Communities as having occurred in Apple Pages. The last poster (March 30) says that it was corrected for them in Pages version 8, build 6194. I know Pages is in a black box, but maybe the similar wor...

Re: Arrange By Label Questions

I don’t know of any Scrivener option that can override the two axes (Label/Binder position) design of Arrange by Label (Manual,Sec. 8.2.5). Regarding Arrange by Status Label Layout/as Grid —Appendix, A.6. View Menu: Corkboard Options ▸ Arrange by Label Layout ▸ These choices select between the rotat...

Re: Text turning grey

You might’ve enabled Focus Mode . Excerpt from Sec. 15.3.5 of the manual: Sometimes you may want to focus on only the words that are nearby where you are writing or editing, fading the rest of the text to a level that makes it difficult, but not impossible, to read. “Focus Mode” makes it possible to...
