Re: Novel Outlining Template

Hello, I don't have Caroline's template anymore, but at some point I must have loaded and then discarded it, because I do have a backup of a project created from the template, which I've attached. (Yes, I keep project backups forever. ) Inside the project, Caroline writes, "Please fe...

Re: How to move Scrivener (bought as an App from the App Store) from by old Macbook to my new PC?

I’d contact L&L directly about the cross-platform discount. After the switch to Paddle as the license provider, that discount was changed to only being available for a bundle purchase. To the best of my knowledge, that’s still the case. From the L&L Blog: Buying Our Products Using Paddle Her...

Re: Compile removes annotations when instructed not to

I don't think you're experiencing a bug. It sounds that you're somewhat familiar and comfortable with Scrivener's compile feature. If you have any trouble with what I'm advising (each reference is from the Scrivener manual), feel free to ask for clarification. I'm sure someone will reply. And, of co...

It sounds that you’re experiencing a known issue. See the following two threads in the Bug Hunt sub-forum, especially AmberV’s (L&L support) posts which include workarounds: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59322 https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic....

Staying logged into the services makes you more vulnerable to leakage. At Instagram’s (a Facebook Product) signup they have links to their ToU, Data Policy and Cookie Policy. Re: Scrivener's manual - skim the fat

While I did give praise within my feedback, at no point did I suggest that all feedback should be in that form. See the sentence immediately prior to the one that has been cutout and used as a quote of me. Agreement isn’t a requirement for posting Feedback, only politeness is. In general, other than...

Re: Scrivener's manual - skim the fat

Whether you use Scrivener 2 (as in your screenshot) or 3, make sure to read Chapter 2, About This Manual , to understand the manual's logic and its comprehensive purpose as companion to the Interactive Tutorial. Spend some time with the material and ignore your subjective desires of placement. Maybe...

Re: Controlling zoom for footnotes/comments when tooltips

On how you set your footnotes and comments as "clickable tooltips" -- there's a setting at Scrivener Preferences > Editing > Options > Footnotes & Comments > Open comments in Inspector if possible . You've likely disabled that option. See, Popup Notes , at Sec.18.3.5 in the manual. Wit...

Maybe the setting that will meet your needs -- Scrivener Preferences > Appearance > Scrivenings > Options > Scrivenings Separator > at the Normal and/or Scriptwriting dropdown menu, choose Corners . An excerpt from Sec. B.5.13, Scrivenings , in the manual: Scrivenings Separators.png

Re: Old installer

A 4th gen iPad doesn’t meet the requirements for iPadOS 13. The cutoff is at the 5th gen.

FWIW, an iPad mini at 9.3.5 works Scrivener reasonably well.

EDIT: iPad Mini 1rst gen.

The following is an excerpt from section 5.1.3 of the Scrivener manual.
