Re: Compiling corrupts Scrivener file

The freeze-up happens on both machines. I updated my program to 1.9.15 10/19 but I haven't tried the compile yet. I think I'll try it on a copy of the file rather than my actual program. I think you are confusing some terms. What file!? As others have said, Scrivener projects, are not a file but a ...

Re: Compiling corrupts Scrivener file

Why do you using an older version then? Especially when you know it's old?

Try installing a newer one, compile, and see what happens.

Re: Weird Blur

Try this:

Go to Options -> Editor -> Editor Options -> uncheck Use font hinting checkbox
Restart Scrivener

See if you still have the blur.

Re: (Beta 25) - editing to add any character/word in editor overwrites succeeding characters/words.

Thanks for the feedback guys. We will flip the Insert key functionality so that you always start in insert(not overwrite mode) as it was previously. Hope you can live with the current state until we release the new Beta some time next week, or simply use the Options to turn it off completely. Thank...

Re: (Beta 25) - editing to add any character/word in editor overwrites succeeding characters/words.

In all other applications where text can be edited, the keyboard is always in Insert mode. As of Beta 25, Scrivener defaults to Overwrite mode when it starts up. Setting the keyboard to Insert mode in one project does not carry over to another project when it is opened in the same session. It will ...

Re: unable to verify your activation for more then two months

Yes, we are working on it. We've supplied an updated Scrivener.exe file to a few users having issues, and will push an official release if that test is successful. Katherine We need this info as a pinned thread on the top of the forum, up until the issue gets resolved. We have too many people start...

Re: (Beta 25) - editing to add any character/word in editor overwrites succeeding characters/words.

Update: I missed the commenter above mentioning the disabling of the use insert key option in Editor options. That has worked. For those who are looking for the option, it can be found under: Options —> Editing —> Options (tab) —> Use the Insert key to control overtype mode (checkbox) Regards, M
