Re: Changing interface language doesn’t work

Go to the folder /usr/share/scrivener/translations and find there 22 language files. The German one is called: Scrivener_de.qm Copy this (or other l...

Re: Changing interface language doesn’t work

Thanks for your information! Yes, spellchecker in other languages work fine. But the application language is always English although you can choose system language or some other languages (doesn’t work no longer in 1.9.0.1). It worked before (1.7.2.3/1.7.2.4) for example in German or French. So, per...

Re: Changing interface language doesn’t work

Hi matty7, sorry, but I don’t understand in what way your post responds to my questions. My installation shows an interface language option "Italian". But that wasn’t the problem. It was that whatever other language you choose there, Scrivener’s interface still displays everything only in ...

Re: Update possible or new install?

Thanks for your help! I’m so sorry for my late answer and beg your pardon. It’s as easy as you said and without timeout problems: You don’t have to remove the older version (but you could), but you can only doubleclick on the .deb file that is then installed by GDebi. That’s all! Synaptic is only ne...

Changing interface language doesn’t work

Hi everybody, updating to the two new versions was working fine. But there’s a bug with the interface language (Tools/Options/General/Startup Options/Language). Under 1.7.2.3 and now 1.7.2.4 I set German. A big part is shown in German, but some items are still in English. Do you have any idea why? H...

Re: Update possible or new install?

Do I have to delete my actually version (how?) and do a new install of the new version? Or is there ...

Update possible or new install?

Hi everybody, great that new Linux versions of Scrivener are released! But what to do now? My running version is 1.7.2.3 beta (64 bit) on Linux Mint. a) Do I have do delete it (by Synaptic or how?) and then to install one of the new versions? Or is it possible to do an update/upgrade from my install...
