Re: Configurable Template / Compile Settings location

Symbolic links in the Dropbox folder to get folders outside Dropbox to sync with Dropbox seems a bit flawed. If the source folders have different paths on different devices, the symlink breaks on one of them after syncing. However, I was able to solve my real issue by reversing the solution: store m...

Re: Title page top table border

I've submitted a bug report. It must be a bug. With the same compile settings, the same Word version, the same Word settings, the same Normal.dotm, compiling to DOC yields a borderless table, but to DOCX creates a table with a border.

Re: Title page top table border

Continuing my line of reasoning, I looked for an MS Word template in the Scrivener directory, but there isn't one. I'm afraid this needs to be answered by L&L.

Re: Title page top table border

I came to this forum looking for the exact same solution. I've looked into the issue for a bit from the Microsoft Word side. You can change the default Table design template in a blank document to have no borders, and save that table design template to Normal.dotm. That ensures that your tables have...

Re: Configurable Template / Compile Settings location

How excellent! Thanks very much, I had no idea Dropbox could handle external symlinks. Problem solved!

Configurable Template / Compile Settings location

Currently, the custom Project Templates and Compile Settings are stored in the Local branch of AppData. In my configuration, this location is not included in my Dropbox folder, so doesn't sync across my devices. (My projects are in my Dropbox folder, so I have those available on my laptop and on my ...

Re: Project inaccessible after rename

Never realized Scrivener has a Save As function. Thanks, that worked like a charm!

Re: Project inaccessible after rename

Thanks, rdale, and thank heavens for backups! (Why didn't I think of that in the first place?) The pre-rename version has been restored. Next up: attempting the rename again. If I'm not mistaken, renaming both the Old Name.scrivx folder and the Old Name.scrivx file to New Name.scrivx should be enoug...

Project inaccessible after rename

To reflect the final title of my WIP, I renamed the project by changing the name of the folder and project file to New Name.scrivx. After the change, when I tried to open the project, Scrivener reported that it was created in an old version, and did I want to convert? I clicked yes, even though I ha...

A Windows version, pretty please?

All my writing friends rave about Scrivener. From what they say and from the info online I can understand why. But I'm one of those backwards Windows users. Please pretty please port it to Windows  And if that's not an option, has Scrivener been tried on any Mac emulators?
