Feel free to report how you like it, I'm very curious of your thoughts.
I sold my iPad Pro, and also have one on order, that would arrive somewhere around the second week of december.

Re: Does the "Hero's Journey" Writing Approach Apply to Military Techno-Thriller / Historical Novels?

All these structures pretty much amount to the same mechanics, see my attachment in this post, where they compare Syd Field (screenplay structure), Save the Cat (Blake Snyder's method of the same thing), the Sequence approach, the Hero's journey, and Aristotle's Poetics. It's all the same thing. And...

Re: Legibility of Big Sur UI

Aaand ... having tried dark mode I cannot stand it! About thirty seconds was enough. I can't see a thing nor understand what I'm looking at. I don't want to claim you should do what I do, but just wanted to share my experience that when I tried Dark Mode on Mojave the first time, I kind of didn't l...

Re: Bullet menu is ghosted since I installed Big Sur on my Mac.

Thanks both for the replies. Yeah, from what I read, running iOS apps isn't all it's made up to be. But I'm still happy, because I will be able to run Overcast podcast app (which I hear is running okay) and I hope I can run a certain 2 factor authentication app I have on the phone, but for the rest ...

Re: Bullet menu is ghosted since I installed Big Sur on my Mac.

It's *always* been good netiquette to *search before you post.* Agreed. Looking forward to downloading the 3.2 update in the App Store when it comes available and work in Dark Mode again :-) I have an M1 Macbook Air on the way (only somewhere in december though) and I was wondering if it will then ...

Re: Legibility of Big Sur UI

I like the new design a lot and some small functional updates *and* it has been faster on my 2015 iMac as well, BUT I use it in Dark Mode. I checked Light Mode once, and I agree, there was definitely a problem in contract between active windows and background windows. People on the forum here recomm...

I just want to add that I also have the App Store copy, but Scrivener works fine (I have the dark text in Dark Mode bug, but that's a known bug from what I read here). 2015 27" iMac 5K, Big Sur.

Re: Scrivener for iOS: yea or nay?

I have my complaints about it, but I still think it's very much worth its price tag and a *very* nice addition to your workflow, if you have an iOS device. Sync is a bit of a burden. If you know how it works, and you are fine with using Dropbox, and a manual process, then it's okay but sometimes slo...

Thanks for setting up this survey. Filled it in completely (didn't have issues - Safari 14 on the Mac) and I hope it gives some of the answers or clarity you are looking for, from your user base.

Re: A faster iOS-to-macOS-and-back-again “solution”

While there was a big problem with Dropbox sync on iOS 13 for a couple of months, I used a version of this method. It worked fine and reliable and I was quite happy with it. When Dropbox started working again, I thought about just keeping my 'iCloud' method, which had some big advantages. But I did ...

Re: Has Windows Version 3 Been Scrapped?

+1 to the complaints about some of the defensive people here. I love Scrivener. I love L&L. I don't have any issues with the delayed Windows release because I'm on the Mac, but I do understand the frustration of users, and the answer of Keith a couple of weeks ago was very refreshing and very ho...

Re: Scrivener should become subscription

Sadly, the Research capabilities -- specifically the diversity of file types in the Research folder -- are a major obstacle to iCloud support. Katherine Can I ask why, out of curiosity? Or is that too technical of an answer? (Now, if I have file types that aren't supported on iOS, they stay intact ...

Re: Scrivener should become subscription

Dear Keith and Login, thanks for the healthy discussion, this has turned out to be a very interesting thread. I do think the discussion here is the result of the thread about Bear on iOS, which in itself was a seperate thread from a discussion about updates on the iOS app. I'm completely not surpris...
