The RSS feed for the blog appears to have stopped working. Last cached entry I have is from 19 November.

Re: Current line highlighting?

The offer to wait six months and see how many complaints there are is more than reasonable. Why is it reasonable? An assertion is not fact. The fact is that there's been a change of behaviour that, so far, no-one has justified. Perhaps Keith has a pile of requests for this change. If that's the cas...

Re: Current line highlighting?

Unusable is unusable, whatever adjectives folk care to use in addition.

Given the detail you guys attend to Scrivener, I'm surprised that you made this change.

You can recover iCloud files. Login to iCloud. Go to Settings, then Advanced/Restore Files.

Re: Question on two settings in SC3

- How do I remove the border around the highlighted line in full screen compositor? You can't. It's been discussed here on the forum. There are a few of us who dislike it. For some reason SC3 did not import settings from SC2 (at least not in my case). (I love Scrivener, but this is pretty bad app d...

Re: Scr3: Context-Menu for emptying trash is missing

It was moved to make way for more commonly-used icons. Are you really constantly emptying the Trash? That seems to be the sort of thing you'd be doing only every so often compared to everything else in that menu. fyi, from that menu I only use: Move to Trash and Change Icon . As just mentioned, it'...

Re: Scrivener 3: Compile Help for Novel with Parts

The bit I missed with Front Matter (when converting a S2 project) was setting its folder's Section Type/Default Subdocument Type to Front Matter . It's not obvious that's required. Also, I found it informative to create a new project with the parts template and nose around in that. It's certainly wo...

The Apple Merge All Windows works in Scapple now (as it does in S3). It's not multiple maps in one file, but easy tab-switching between separate maps.

Re: Merge All Windows works \o/

Quick Reference panels can be merged together as well (though only with other QR panels). I hadn't spotted that. That's awesome! I often write multiple versions of a section, and this will make it a lot easier to merge the best case. It also makes the Project Bookmarks even more useful. Thanks for ...

Re: Scr3: Context-Menu for emptying trash is missing

I see. Seems a little bit odd, though, because it's just a basic function. After all it's really the only thing I want to do with the trash. But okay... Yes, I feel the same. However, from reading elsewhere, I believe that the context menu remains the same throughout the Binder, and there is limit ...

Merge All Windows works in S3

I didn't hear talk of Merge All Windows – or tabbed projects, as I call it – in Scrivener 3, so I'm delighted to discover that it works as expected. This is fabulous for anyone who works on multiple projects simultaneously. I've always enjoyed S2, but S3 is a real joy to work in. The thought that ha...
