Re: Question re: customising inline comments

Thanks for you answer. The reason I asked is merely cosmetic. Since I write long academic texts with bibliography citations and several notes to myself (using the comments), I'd like to have the better interface possible (with no distractions). Taking out the back color of the comments in the text h...

Re: Question re: customising inline comments

It does. Thank you.

And may I also ask if there's a way to change the link text color? (In this case the one in blue.)

Question re: customising inline comments

Hello,

When we make an inline comment on the editor area, the selected area becomes yellowish (kind of highlighted) and with blue text underlined. Is there a way to customise these inline comments appearance?

Project Target Colors: the academia version

Hello, I have a question—and eventually a request. The Project Target feature is great, but the colors used seem very focused on creative writing: when you reach the target goal the color is green. Now, for academic writing this sometimes is the reverse: when writing articles we have a limit on word...

Re: MacBook Air: 11' or 13'? (aka begging for advise)

Hi Paolo -- Bearing in mind that I own the top 11', I'd advise you (if you can) to go for the top line. 64GB is a very small amount of HD, especially if you plan having "a good amount of research materials". 2GB of RAM is enough for a few apps being used, but you'll feel the slowness (and ...

Re: MacBook Air: 11' or 13'? (aka begging for advise)

Hi Hugh --

You are right. It's not obvious on the post (just updated the blog). I went for the top of the line MBA 11': 1.6GHz, 4GB RAM, 128HD. Since I cannot upgrade it later (except by hacking), I decided on the safe side.

Re: MacBook Air: 11' or 13'? (aka begging for advise)

Great news, and glad you love it. Even though I have the 13" — and my 17" MBP languishes practically unused even when I'm at home, as this one is so much faster and such a pleasure to use — everytime I see an 11", I think "I'd love one of those!" My other half is ogling the...

Re: MacBook Air: 11' or 13'? (aka begging for advise)

Thanks again to all that advised me on the MacBook Air dilemma. I've bought the 11' and I'm very pleased with it. On this same subject I posted a long text on my (new) blog... if you feel up to read more about it: MacBook Air: How do I love thee

Re: The True Grit Screenplay

I've done the opposite, having seen The King's Speech and True Grit. Loved the first one (great screenplay and very good acting, most specially Colin Firth) and was very well surprised by True Grit, considering that I'm not a huge fan of westerns. On the last, I loved the language the most, so polit...

I can't, but Graymalkin can. (In this home we are all under her spells.)

Re: What to do during a long flight

Each time I make the trip Portugal → Oregon → Portugal I try to: 1. Drink wine (helps to sleep) 2. Read magazines (books don't work as well) 3. Listen/watch iPod with podcasts and one audiobook, a few videos (tv-series, not movies) and games 4. If traveling with someone: play cards or dices or domin...

Hi Vic, :D

I also know that lengalenga, but in Portuguese (shorter) version:

Anani, ananão
Ficas tu
E eu não.

And, damn, I totally forgot to use it! Oh, well...

Best to you and Fluff,

Re: MacBook Air: 11' or 13'? (aka begging for advise)

Thank you so much to the three of you. I was just saying to my other half that I would not be able to make up my mind before a final advise/comment from the L&L forum people (and, yes, Mark, you are one of them). After two weeks of inner conversation (and lots of read reviews) on which model to ...
