Re: tools drop down menu under writing tools

Thanks, Amber. I tried copy with Wordweb and it doesn't fix the problem. I can open Wordweb with the hotkey from within Scrivener and then copy and paste back and forth, but I could do the same thing with any external program. I've seen some comments on the web saying that Wordweb works great with S...

Re: Can you access the actual RTF filename inside scrivener?

Wordweb can be opened with a hotkey while you are inside Scrivener, but you have to retype what you want to look up in its input window, and and then copy the result back into Scrivener by hand. Still better than nothing.

Re: Scrivener on Kindle Fire?

The IOS android discussion seems to ignore the fact that many of us already have mobile devices and would like to use Scrivener on them rather than invest in new devices of any sort. I was recently given an iPad mini II and have installed Scrivener on it, which is of some use, but doesn't put enough...

Re: tools drop down menu under writing tools

My main problem here is not with launching an external dictionary, it's with using external dictionaries within Scrivener. I can launch them just fine on their own. First of all, I found a limited solution of sorts to part of the dictionary problem. If you have the desktop OED open (I keep it open o...

Re: Please tweak the editing UI

To go back to keyboard tweaking--there aren't any keyboard shortcuts for writing tools, and that one doesn't work when changed. I'd like to be able to call up all the writing tools from the keyboard.

Re: tools drop down menu under writing tools

I need this. Please, L&L, implement it, not only for on-line dictionaries but for ones on one's individual machine. I paid a fair chunk of money for the OED and I'd like to be able to use it in Scrivener.

Re: keyboard shortcuts for writing tools, etc.

I should have mentioned that when I try to use Options-Keyboard to change the dictionary shortcut from Ctr-G, Ctrl-F3 to, say, Alt-Ctrl-B, it shows the change in Options-Keyboard, but when I try to use it in a text all it does is add a B. (And Options-Keyboard doesn't list any other writing tools.)

keyboard shortcuts for writing tools, etc.

I have three related questions about Scrivener writing tools, dictionaries, and the like and would appreciate any information you can provide about any or all of them. 1. Are there any keyboard shortcuts for the various writing tools, such as dictionary.com? 2. Is there any way to change the shortcu...

Re: Dedicated Conflicts and Comparison Tool

This sounds like a great idea. I have a dead SSD disk and am migrating to a new computer, plus I've had trouble opening some of my projects with Scrivener freezing on me, and it's pretty laborious finding the correct version of various files. I would love to have a conflicts and comparison tool. Scott

Re: Boilerplate for corkboard

What I'd like is that each time I open a new document that will serve as a scene, the corkboard automatically has a checklist/form which shows as a series of questions or entries to be filled in, i.e. something like: When, where: Idea introduced: Character introduced: Viewpoint character: Senses inv...

Boilerplate for corkboard

I'm working on a novel, and whenever I create a new scene, I'd like the corkboard to show the same boilerplate checklist (Viewpoint character, irrevocable changes, new ideas, new characters, atmosphere, transitions, etc.). I assume this can be done through templates, and it's probably obvious or in ...
