Re: Novel-in-a-Day 9

Now I want a t-shirt that says "I [was part of a team that] wrote 229,582,512 novels in a day."

Re: NiaD Award badges

I've spent some time thinking about this, and I think discrete images for each year, with forum member adding all the appropriate images in a long string is the only way to go — for your own sanity. There are probably fancier CSS-based solutions of a full row, dropping out specified years that don't...

Re: Revisit previous years events?

the sense of not creating something new is... about the whole. This is what I was alluding to a while back. And it's why I was wondering if we could think of a creative way forward. Instead of trying to recreate the same feeling by revisiting the old works, I wonder if there's a way that we could d...

Re: Revisit previous years events?

Would people want to 'catch-up' if we were to schedule a couple of the really early NiaDs as re-runs? The dynamic is different, because I imagine that many of us have read those novels and know where they're going. So much of NiaD depends on the reveal at the end. I'd be very interested in taking p...

Re: NiaD 8: Live and Let NiaD

Everyone raise your new NiaD cups for a cheer! "To next year's NiaD!"

Glass raised; "To many more years of NiaD!"

It is a blast to do, it's good for my writing, and should continue... especially if we can find ways to share the burden of overworked Pigfender.

Re: NiaD 8: Live and Let NiaD

It's a pretty strange feeling to have part-written a novel and then have to wait to find out what the heck I was writing about!

Re: NiaD 8: Live and Let NiaD

I was lucky. My whole scene took place inside a room. No knowledge of Chicago needed.

Chicago in February? Any scene in its right mind would be inside in a room!!

In my chapter, the President's wife IS a saucer-piloting dolphin. Is that going to cause continuity problems?

Re: Hardware: best foldy keyboard for iPad Mini?

I've just started beta-testing a just-short-of-miraculous little keyboard called the Text Blade. The principles behind it are genius: 1. give fingers all the space they need on the home row, but reduce how far they need to reach. Text Blade achieves this by providing large keys that are touchpad-lik...

What a crazy and fun thing to take part in. Many thanks, Pigfender!

How fortunate that at least one version of each of the chapters showed up!
