support for share sheets in Scrivener?

Does Scrivener for iOS not support the share sheet, so that users can easily add information to Scrivener?

Re: How do I set a default font?

Thanks, Hugh. I figured that we must have been talking about two different things.

Re: How do I set a default font?

If you delete preferences, restart your machine, relaunch Scrivener, start New Project, does "Notes Font:" indicate Cochin 14? Please post a screenshot. Maybe I'm not understanding what "Notes Font:" is supposed to change -- I’m talking about the main body of the note.

Re: How do I set a default font?

Again, you haven't explained why Scrivener indicates that Helvetica 12 is the Notes font but that isn't actually the font used in the body of notes; instead, the font appears to be determined by the "Aa" button in the ruler for "Main Text Style."

This is bad UI design, IMHO.

Re: How do I set a default font?

We're on the same page. I'm typing into the main text editor. You are right in that Cochin is the default font, but where in the app does it indicate that Cochin is the default font? Just as importantly, why is Cochin the default font after I trashed the preferences? Here's what fixed the problem. I...

Re: How do I set a default font?

Even following those instructions (i.e. removing the prefs), the problem is not gone (i.e. the default font is "Cochin"). Helvetica should be the default notes font, but it isn't!

Re: How do I set a default font?

This still isn't working for me. Every time I create a new note, the Cochin font is used, but nowhere in any setting is Cochin specified! (and I just created a new project) In addition, if I used Documents > Convert > Convert Formatting to Default Text Style …, the font used is not converted to the ...

Re: syncing to an external folder isn't automatic -- why not?

The definition of sync is not that it is automatic - "synchronisation" just means to sync to disparate things. It is not "crazy". Having Scrivener sync all the time in the background would be a slow process given the amount of work it has to do - it is not syncing files that are...

Re: syncing to an external folder isn't automatic -- why not?

The sync is not an automatic feature; you need to select it when you're ready. Given that Scrivener default auto-saves every 2 seconds, this would make for a crazy amount of updating trying to keep the external folder in sync, to say nothing of the confusion it could cause on both ends if you're sy...

syncing to an external folder isn't automatic -- why not?

I've set up syncing between my Drafts and an an external folder in Scrivener 2.0.2 -- a folder inside a Dropbox folder on my Mac. However, when I make changes to a draft, the changes aren't saved automatically to the corresponding file inside Dropbox. The only way I can get the file to update is to ...

I'm afraid that it's going to be very difficult to do so, because I noticed the console error hours after it happened, so I have no idea what I was doing at the time.

Keith,

When I click on a "hit" in search results, Scrivener doesn't necessarily seem to scroll so that the occurrence is in view. Are you aware of this, and can something be done?

Spitfire31 wrote:I see odysseus' screen drawing bug all the time in Word, especially when I work at 125% zoom. I don't think it has anything to do with Scrivener.

It's definitely zoom-related, but I never see it in Word. Scrivener and Word probably use very different drawing routines.

odysseus - that most certainly is a biggie - it is a runtime exception, which is a bug and could lead to odd behaviour. Please do read the general bug-reporting procedure - in other words, please post the exact steps necessary for me to reproduce this bug. I'll try. It looks like it involves Help, ...

I'm seeing this in the Console:

Not a biggie, I'm sure.
