Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

Good night all and good show! Thank you all for setting up/participating in this event. It was crazy, but productive.

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

I'm only going to worry about the confirmation email when it gets to 10pm in London. So another hour or so?

Agreed. Once I was done having a panic attack, I got down to some serious writing. I work well with a deadline, that thing I can never have when working on my own stuff. Ugh.

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

Just sent in my chapter. 1796 words. I feel pretty good about it considering my complete screw up of the times. I'd say it's solid work for having only 5 hours to work on it. LOL!

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

I've got a plan, so I'm no longer having a panic attack. Got Red Dead Redemption sound track going and 1050 words of the first draft. It's flowing now and while it might not be a masterpiece, it'll do. ^_^

Re: Getting the Natives right.

I googled what tribes would have been there in the 1860s and got...well...I got a lesson in anthropology and natives politics... Just curious if the White locals would have known the difference between the various tribes or just clumped them all under the semi-generic "Apache" or Yumi tri...

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

Yeah, I see that. I didn't realize it was all based on London time. I just opened it an hour ago. Talk about having a deadline. Haha don't worry. I thought this was next weekend, and only opened my writer email on a complete whim, luckily. 1020 words down! Should be 1500+ by the time I finish what ...

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

Hey all, it's morning here, had my coffee, reading things over and I have a question. Can I burn a building down in my chapter?

Re: Novel-in-a-Day 5: Go Set A NiaD

Also from Scrib, also would like to be a part of the madness.

I have several sample up on Scrib, Ayshta and Friday would be best to read, Psy-Hunter is rough through the last half and an early draft. I can post those excerpts somewhere here if you would like.
