In my case, I have lots and lots of Scrivener projects, but only 6 in the folder I sync with my iDevices. The total size is usually less than 50 Mb (only text no images) and the total number of files usually below 1500. No syncing problems. This is the issue though. Not all of us can or do work thi...
I enjoyed this, thanks. I particularly liked the sentence, “It’s really starting to chafe my arse.” I agree, of course. I’ve pretty much stopped using the iOS app at all.
I have the 12.9 iPad Pro though and it’s still crashing for me. As is my iPhone XS Max. My iPad Pro 10.5 works fine. On a separate note, the scratchpad is still crashing the app on Catalina. But don’t let that worry you just yet. The sync crash is far more frustrating.
How do you roll back? There’s no way I’m doing this. I hate to admit it, but I’ve transferred my projects to [a competitor] where I’ll work until this is sorted. I can’t afford to spend any more time trying to find a solution. The issue has been apparent for weeks, from the earliest beta versions o...
To better rule out content-related issue: try using the Mac tutorial as test content. Duplicate it a dozen or so times and populate your sync folder with only that. Then proceed to test as you would with your own projects. I tried this today, copying a dozen tutorials into a Scrivener test folder, ...
I don’t know about terrifying but it’s a pain in the bum. I’ve also spent hours on it today, trying to figure out why it works fine on the 10.5 and not on the 12.9 or the iPhone X. I thought it might have been different versions of iPad OS 13.1, but both are running the same version now. I got the 1...
As with Graham above, I’ve been migrating projects to a virgin folder and syncing one at a time, no problem (on the iPad). After four projects were moved across, I tried to sync with the iPhone, and it crashed as before. I’ve repeated this also with different files. It seems to cark it when trying t...
I’ve had this problem since the early beta of iPadOS, so reverted back to iOS 12 (on my iPad Pro 12.9). Interestingly, no such issues on my iPad Pro 10.5. On the 12.9 I’m now running iPadOS 13.1 and the sync issues are back — crashes every time. But still no problems on the 10.5 following the exact ...
Experiencing this on a daily basis now. Have reinstalled Scrivener but the problem has persisted. Hoping someone else has encountered it and knows how to fix it. The crash happens 10 or so minutes into writing on scratchpad, or moving the scratchpad window. I have three files in the scratchpad curre...
