BUG: compiling to PDF, small caps come out as large caps.

As stated in the title.

Small caps become straight capitals after compiling to PDF.

BUG: Page View extending text past margin boundaries

Similar to LH3796, but in Page View. Partial Screenshots: scriv_PV_overboundary.JPG scriv_PV_overboundary_2.JPG Two things: text runs over the margin line, and a space is added before text begins again in the new page. Text is double-spaced. Font hinting is on. But wait, it gets stranger: scriv_PV_o...

Re: Help! AutoHotKey script to swap Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Shift+V

I don't like the inelegance of the multiple entries, but when I tried a block of code with send commands, it resulted in an infinite loop of key presses. Found this in AutoHotKey's Help, under #MaxHotkeysPerInterval . As an oversimplified example, the hotkey ^c::Send ^c would produce an infinite lo...

Re: Ctrl+V :: Changing function for Ctrl+V does not work. . . Can anyone confirm?

It works perfectly in 1.9. Can't you copy the necessary code from there? Different version of QT; the code is likely not compatible. Given the difficulty, you might to invest a few minutes in making AutoHotKey or something similar swap the functions for now (thinking of this myself, as I use paste ...

How do you change the cursor color?

It's an opposite color to the editor background. My editor background is a light orange (easier on my eyes, believe it or not), so blue cursor.

Re: Compile to PDF Font Hinting Distortions

As I mentioned, it's also visible in Noto Serif, but it's harder to see.

Re: Compile to PDF Font Hinting Distortions

I was not able to replicate this using just the information provided, could you tell me what fonts/compile formats are causing this distortion for you? Or possibly send a small sample project showing the issue? It's fairly visible in Times New Roman (the letters get really crowded). FontCrowding2_H...

Re: [LH3796] Compile slicing lines horizontally in half across page breaks

Will just add back in here that the way I could get this bug to appear is to set the document line spacing to 2.0 (double spaced) . If you notice, this is the spacing the fault images are showing. Then try compiling it, either to PDF ,or to Print, sending the results to Windows PDF printer. If you ...

Re: Manuscript and Chapters

Loaded beta version 2.9.0.23. Opened my current project binder- Novel format-. listing the Manuscript, and under that my chapter headings. I placed my mouse over the word "Manuscript" and accidentally hit the scroll button instead of the left mouse button. Clicked on Manuscript .to look t...

Re: Compile slicing lines horizontally in half across page breaks

Hi. Latest version of Win Beta. Compile works much better than last version, but now it is splitting lines visually across pages. See attached image. https://i.imgur.com/JOi9nkG.jpg I think this is also reported here: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=58576 No bug nu...

Re: [LH3987] Bug? Сursor jumps to the top document spontaneously in Scrivening Mode

It happens a tremendous lot when I'm near the end of the last document in the Scrivening selection when parts of 2 documents are on the screen at the same time. Very often, when this happens, it seems there are TWO cursor markers (I use a 3-pixel wide blue cursor) right after the cursor shift. The p...

Re: [LH4025] Need help - can't get compiler to export footnotes as endnotes

I have a deadline coming up and my publisher wants footnotes as endnotes. Any advice would be very much appreciated. I hate to say this, because Scrivener should definitely have this capability. However... If it's going to stay as a Word document, you can convert footnotes to endnotes in Word: http...

Re: Scrivener still listed in Apps & Features

Normally I would say Yes to that idea as I've used it on previous builds, but not this time, thus why I had to go into the registry itself and remove them which I'm loathed to do even with backups. Don't know if its because I'm also part of the Fast Track with Microsoft's Beta testing of Windows. I...

Re: New Project default location has changed.

Previous versions of Scrivener have always remembered the folder that the most recent new project was created in, and then used that folder as the default for subsequent new projects. Interesting. My copy does exactly that. The last used location is where it puts things. This may be a known issue w...
