Re: Compile submenu windows not displaying properly

The best I was able to do was to reduce the "Menus and Windows" font (which worked for me on my own laptop, which has a 1366x768 screen). This reduced the height of the compile window just a little. But for some people, this did not work. I'm not sure why. Workaround the 1st: rotate your d...

Re: Line Numbers

This is added to show a shot of the margins issue. Scriv_noPV_ln_noMargins.JPG This may happen whether or not you're using a fixed-width editor. I noticed it in a fixed-width editor, after I squished it (larger inspector column), and reduced the margins to zero. and when I removed my normal 20 pixel...

Re: Line Numbers

Interesting. When I show line numbers, they're in the left side frame, and they're not line numbers. They're paragraph numbers. Here's pics of the screen in both modes. (note, both are below paragraph count 100. Above 99, things get more interesting, and show a different bug) Scriv_line_numbers_PV.J...

Re: Undefined colors in scrivening mode using (modified) grey matter theme

When I switch to scrivenings mode at full window width, the background (left and right of the editor) appears in white color. Up to now I didn't find a way to change this value in the settings. Did I miss something or is is a bug? scrivenings.jpg Two options (maybe more, but these are two I can thi...

Re: Formatting inconsistency when importing 1.9.x projects

Having some trouble importing a 1.9.x project to the beta without messing up the formatting. Templates formatted with tabs seem to display differently in 2.9.0.32. See examples below: How it looks in 1.9.x: https://i.imgur.com/MSNV1LY.png How it looks in beta: https://i.imgur.com/iEP9fWo.png Played...

Re: [BUG] WIndows Beta Cannot type in editor

I hope this is the correct place to report a bug. I'm using Scrivener Windows Beta version 2.9.0.32 Beta (779281) 64- bit. I created a new project and added a new text document. I tried to type and nothing happened. It won't let me right-click either. There's no cursor or anything, just blank white...

Re: Dark Mode

My main concern was the possibility that Dark Mode had become the default option. It seemed a pity that so much effort, and time, had been put into adding features that I really did not want. These days, I tend to buy software to use - not to tweak and twiddle with.. Unfortunately, they can't please...

BUG: Dropdown style scrollbar, insufficient contrast

This is a visual bug, so a graphic: Scriv_scrollbar.PNG It's a bit difficult to see the scrollbar in that dropdown. The other dropdowns beside it, the moving element is grey. In this one, it seems white, and the only clue there's anything there to scroll is that one line across the scrollbar. And wh...

What is the menu font size you have set in the preferences file you are loading?

12.

However, only the dialog after clicking "Apply" cuts off the text. The dialog after "OK" does not. I would have expected, given the same dialog, for the same results to happen.

Re: [B26] Page Break configured in Default Separators not apply to as-is during compile

Hi mstep, Is your Title Page located in your Draft/Manuscript folder or is it in a separate Front Matter folder? Apologies for the late response. The Title Page is located in the Front Matter folder. Also, I was starting a new book with the latest build [B32] and encountered this again. I took matt...

Re: Needing Advice

Greetings friends: I'm currently using Scrivener Version: 1.9.16.0 for Windows . As one who works at a university, I'll have some time between Christmas and New Year's to continue to fiddle with the program (I'm working on a book.). Would you recommend downloading and using beta version 3, so my on...

Re: Question: Auto-replace words

Hi! Not a bug but a question - I can't seem to find the option for auto-replace, meaning I type in a word and it automatically changes to another. Either I'm using the wrong search term or it hasn't been added yet. I need this mostly because I use special characters and don't want to c/p every time...

Re: [LH543] -- Scriptwriting Mode improper format / text scaling

It appears as if the ruler/text are not scaled in relation to each other properly. They don't. I'm not sure why this is, but I think it's related to the choice of units. That is, the ruler wants those tick marks to be 1/8". Scrivener calls them 1/6", but they're not. So when the ruler say...

That's after load options, and clicking Apply.
If I then click OK, the full dialog box shows, with the complete message.

Re: Chapters and scenes numbering

I think this is one of the reasons why people are questioning why you want to do any manual numbering in the binder at all, because on the face of it, you really don’t need to, to achieve what you’ve described what you want to do. So, are we misunderstanding what benefits you get from doing it, whi...
