Yes, your solution seems to work. Thanks a lot!

Problem with F-keys as shortcuts

I am using some of the F-keys as shortcuts for font faces: for instance, F3 for "Italic", and F4 for "Bold". These shortcuts figure of course under System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > App Shortcuts: (Scrivener) Bold – F4, Italic – F3. But in the pull down menu, these shor...

Re: Scrivener 3.1 is going to be incredible!

Among the countless improvements of an already excellent application this new version brings us, is the fact that keyboard shortcuts are now shown in the styles panel. Would it be an idea to show them also in the format bar?

Did you try, in Scrivener 3, File > Import > Scrivener Project?

Re: Scrivener version of User Manual

Thanks for your answer, Amber. No hurry at all, but the PDF-version of the manual looks great, and I would like to study its Scrivener > MMD > LaTeX genesis, in order to learn from it. And I'm sure it would be a very instructive case for all who, like me, would like to publish complex texts in a sim...

Scrivener version of User Manual

Elsewhere on this site we are kindly invited to "download our manuals in PDF and Scrivener formats". But where is Scrivener's user manual in the Scrivener format? I see only the PDF version.

Re: scapple development

"Scapple … has not been forgotten! Scrivener has taken a front seat for a long time, but once Scrivener 3 is out, we intend to spend some quality time with our Scapple code."

Re: Best way to convert PDF to RTF

Thanks all for your answers! @ brookter: I had forgotten Devonthink also has this feature; and it works pretty well, I must say. @ Amber: I had never seen this option in Scrivener; thanks for making me aware of it. @ lucadj: I have the latest version of MS Word for Mac, but I can't find this option ...

Best way to convert PDF to RTF

What is the best way to convert PDF to RTF? Or rather, the best application for this task? I have some experience only with iSkysoft, but there might be better options around.

Re: Another app (Ulysses) moves to a subscription based model

The guys of Ulysses have clearly thought over very well their decision, and Max Seeleman’s explanation is very clear and very well written. Yet I think they have made a fundamental mistake, which could cost them dearly. It is abundantly clear that the vast majority of users hate the subscription mod...

Re: -- followed by > turns into arrow

In the meantime, I discovered that this substitution takes places only in one particular font, in some applications (Scrivener, Nisus, Devonthink), but not in others (Mellel, Textedit). So changing the font solves the problem. But I still don't understand the mechanism that triggers this substitution.

Re: Directly making notes while writing manuscript

And of course in Scrivener there are the Document Notes and Project Notes. Personally, when getting a random idea while working on other things, I just write it down on a piece of paper, and then put it in the right place at the end of the day. Works perfectly for me. But if you don't like making no...

Re: -- followed by > turns into arrow

Thanks both for your answer. But the problem is that for some reason the transformation of this sequence takes place only in Scrivener, not in e.g. Nisus or Mellel. So it’s not system wide, and indeed under System Preferences > Keyboard > Text this replacement doesn’t appear. And I owe Typinator too...

-- followed by > turns into arrow

My copy of Scrivener (only Scrivener, not my other writing programs) changes -- followed by > automatically into an arrow. How can I turn this off? I've searched everywhere, but I can't find it.
