Xiam: Commitment would be demonstrated by getting me what I paid for. A useful product that isn't a beta but a finished product, which is what I have paid for. Mark: I am using the Beta, and when finding a glitch, turning over the information. Still, a finished product with the stability of WordPerf...
My thoughts on downloading yet another Beta after being promised, and paying for, a program. You need to make the Windows side as equally and justifiably important to you and your company as the Mac side of the operation is. You haven't, and thus you don't have a product to sell, only a promise. Som...
I'm going to keep this short and sweet. I use the Mac and the Windows Beta versions. Scrivener, no matter if it's a Windows Beta or the new Mac edition, does not like to get going upon opening. I can almost bet with 100% accuracy that it's going to hang up and I'll get a message that says "Scri...
I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Scrivener, no matter if it's a Windows Beta or the new Mac edition, does not like to get going upon opening. I can almost bet with 100% accuracy that it's going to hang up and I'll get a message that says "Scrivener not responding" when opening the p...
I hesitate to post anything here. Folks seem to think if you use a $$ to avoid using as, as in the context of a$$ vs ass, I’m making some damned hidden commentary on the cost of Scrivener. Nuts to that. I’ve got a problem with something I’ll damned well speak mind. I don’t do passive - aggressive. I...
The work-around for compatibility between PC and Mac is a pain in the a$$. Does nothing to help workflow and Scrivener developers need not lean on it as a solution.
The Beta releases though, show promise yet are not fully there yet.
Not impressed with the recent Windows Beta release. It seems a step backwards. Operations hang up, files get lost, and my computer is locked up for too long while Scrivener figures out what to do. The last Beta was much better, much smoother. All while importing text .rtf files. All of these problem...
We do not support the WordPerfect format directly. RTF is Scrivener's native format, and is probably the best choice. For the specific question of working between Windows Scrivener and Mac Scrivener 3, though, a better solution would be Scrivener 3's File -> Export -> As Scrivener 2 Project command...
Hello. If this is in the wrong place organizationally, please relocate it or whatever. I’m not sure if my questions cross any organizational borders. I like WordPerfect, hate Word, and have grown to be a fan of Scrivener. I use Scrivener in iOS, and WordPerfect in Windows 10. My question is, through ...
Do your works reveal themselves all at one time? Or do they snake along, twisting turning, rewriting the plots time and again as your ideas develop over weeks and months? At times I feel incredibly stupid, others very perceptive. Lately I've felt calm and centered as I rewrite and tweak an older wor...
I am using a new way of developing characters. It would be great if I could format a document (1 sheet character description) in landscape. Using the Legal setting, i could then have something resembling a wide spreadsheet, suitable in width for contrasting comments laid next to each other. Is there...
I posted this earlier in the Mac OS section, resolving my problem. However, realizing I work 50/50 between MacOS and the iOS environment on my iPad, I still have the same problem with Scrivener iOS. Maybe someone could help with the iOS environment too? I'm editing and re-writing a draft - finally. ...
