Re: Scrivener 1.2 - iOS 13 - Settings - Syncing & Sharing Crash

This is happening to me as well. Also, Scrivener crashes every time I try to sync. No error messages appear, the app just crashes while in the process of downloading the file list, before the progress bar ever appears.

Re: Convert markdown back to italics?

Section-by-section was what I was looking for, yes, so these suggestions look like they should work great. Thanks for the help!

Convert markdown back to italics?

I see in the Covert menu an option to convert bold/italics to markdown, but is there any simple way of converting it the other way around (without compiling)?

Re: Suggestions for a new app

I have a few suggestions. If you mistakenly hit 'back' instead of 'save' in some sections it will cause you to lose the information you've entered. I think having it just automatically save would be better. Add the ability to edit the entries in the chapter, character, and place sections. For exampl...

Re: Audiobook dictation apps

I think I've decided to go with Audacity. It's not the cleanest interface, but it seems to work better for me than GarageBand. Of course that might change once I start recording for real…if I do. Time, and school, will tell.

Re: Audiobook dictation apps

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been reading my books aloud to myself for years because it helps me catch things that I otherwise wouldn't, so I thought, why not record it into an audiobook if I'm doing it anyway? But yes, I will definitely need to practice to get the voice right for an audiobook. ...

Audiobook dictation apps

I've been considering recording my own audiobook, but having never done it before there are some things I'm not sure about. First, the software. Currently I'm planning to use Audacity and just read it off from my Scrivener file, but I tried a bit of experimenting with that and Audacity turned out to...

Re: DEVONsphere (search tool)

How heavy does it hit the system? I noticed they recommend 2GB of RAM to run the thing, which I think is pretty hefty for a search program. My computer is showing its age, and I'm not sure it could handle too much extra burden.

Re: Password protected downloadable files

Opera has something like that—you can choose a folder on your computer for files you want to share, and then use Opera to generate a link (that can be password-protected) for others to download the file with. The downside is that your computer and Opera has to be running and connected for others to ...
