Is there any chance for an option to choose which metadata goes with splits?

Re: API or Hooks

The open file format does allow quite a bit though. One thing to note, you should have your friend run File/Save and Rebuild Search Indexes (Option key menu variant) on the project after building a lot of content externally. Good to know... I was afraid to try and do things like this because the ma...

Re: Feature Requests - commit order from outliner view, more

Have you tried clicking on the editor window after selecting your saved search? It works for me... ...I see... I guess I was confused by the fact that it only shows project-wide metadata until you do that, whereas in a non-dynamic collection it shows the scrivening-specific metadata as soon ...

Re: Feature Requests - commit order from outliner view, more

Comments should work in Scrivenings mode, showing all comments for all text - could you provide more details, as I'm not sure why that wouldn't be working? Thanks! Ahh, I've figured it out. It seems comments don't work in Scrivenings mode specifically when it is a composite of files from a search o...

Re: Feature Requests - commit order from outliner view, more

[quote="AmberV"]switch to Scrivenings mode. Now you can use that Comments sidebar column to locate TODO markers, click on them to scroll to the spot and address them[quote] Hmmm this doesn't quite work actually - comments don't appear in Scrivenings mode, so you still have to do it documen...

Re: AppleScript: what do you want to see in the Scrivener Suite?

On your Point #7: If by 'tag' you mean label, status or keyword, you can already do what you are asking for, but you need to take the action directly on the selected group of items in the Binder, not in the Inspector. You can control-click any of the selected docs to add label or status to the whol...

Re: Feature Requests - commit order from outliner view, more

Wow, thanks so much and apologies for the redundancy. There I was thinking I'd gone over the documentation pretty closely! Hopefully it's more enjoyable to be able to say "it already does that" than it is annoying to have to explain existing features :) (a) when you have a column in the ou...

Re: Feature Request

There's also the option in: edit > copy special > copy documents as ToC That allows you to select documents and paste a ToC into a page with dynamic reference links and page number variables that presumably are filled-in on compile. You can edit the formatting and text of this ToC as you like! :D

Feature Requests - commit order from outliner view, more

• Ability to commit order from outliner view . I have a large list of sources, it would be great to be able to organize them in the binder based on the outline order. Currently I have to either switch to the outliner view or one-by-one drag the items into the order I want them. • Ability to create &...

Re: TEXTVIEW/Markdown-Option and MORE TARGETS

Thanks for the feedback! [list=1][*] Here is a prior response to that request . Would it not be possible to have a sort of a fake plain-text mode? Like a "view entire binder in default font" kind of thing? I can see why RTF is integral, but I also like the idea of not being distracted by ...

Re: AppleScript: what do you want to see in the Scrivener Suite?

It's not being actively developed yet... I'm hoping to get to work on it finally in the new year. Any update on this? I just bought Scrivener and my life is changed. I'm excited about the ability to augment the app and add it into heavily scripted workflows like those found here . • One feature I'd...
