Re: I don't expect an answer - but I sure hope I get one.

Have you tried creating a new, empty document in the binder, copying the text of chapter 4, and then using Paste and Match Style into the empty document? You could then swap the two files out and be able to move on. Well, I'll be ding dong. It worked. I must not have tried your idea, during all my ...

I don't expect an answer - but I sure hope I get one.

Scrivener: v1.9.12.0; Window 10 Pro 64Bit latest build Forum: I have a very strange occurrence going on. About 2 months ago The first paragraph, and half of the first sentence of the second paragraph of Chapter 4, began appearing as highlighted in blue. (As if a selection had been performed by the ...

Re: Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

. . . I use Moonreader It can do everything you want and more. Thanks for the tip, I have gone to Play Store and looked at this app. Yes, I agree, it does look great. Pro Version at $4.99 USD isn't too bad of a bad deal. I think I'll try it out in the next few days. Hi Dekade, . . .On the...

Re: Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

Yes . . . I am going to contradict myself inside my own thread with the following question: Has anyone had any experience with any Android tablet/phone eReader app that can highlight text and maybe even comment or annotate also? . . . My main interest is the highlighting though. Also - working prima...

Re: Total Word Count

Okay. Now I feel just as stupid as other times I've posted without thinking. :) All this time and I never tried moving up to that level. Man I hate it when something like this takes place. Anyway, the forum served its purpose, what else is there left to say. Oh, . . . I guess there is one thing left...

Total Word Count

I've always been mystified about Word Counts in Scrivener for Windows version 1.9.9.0. Maybe I don't understand the method/template to achieve what I want. Using the below picture as reference you can see my book chapter 5 is a folder with text documents serving as sections comprising the chapter. C...

Re: Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

If you install "Send to Kindle" on your laptop/ desktop , you'll have it available as a right-click menu item. You can then send your .doc or .docx file to your reader/laptop/desktop of choice for review. I send it to both phone and reader for the differing views. Understood. Thanks. :) :...

Re: Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

Reading is much easier if it’s in epub or mobi format, because they enable the reader to choose a text font and size that makes the reading more comfortable. This is definitely a plus If you install "Send to Kindle" on your laptop, you'll have it available as a right-click menu item. You ...

Re: Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

If I only want to read, without annotating, I vompile to epub or mobi, but if I want to edit the text I compile to pdf and annotate on my iPad using Notability and my Apple pencil. Thanks lunk, interesting. I've kinda thought about the editing capability issue but then I stopped and thought about i...

Re: Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

You could compile to pdf. I like xodo as an Android pdf reader. You could compile to epub - I like Moonreader + reader, but there are lots of them. Then of course you just copy the file to your tablet. Thanks steveshank. Do you have any comment as to a pdf format versus an epub format? Does one ver...

Reading a draft on an Android or Mac tablet

I would like to know a couple good ways and processes to read a book draft on a tablet. Rather than printing out hundreds of pages of a compiled Word document is there 1 or more way(s) to get a book out of Scrivener and onto a Android (primary interest) or Mac tablet? What do I need to actually go t...

Re: Research Folder and Web Pages

Thanks DavidR. I appreciate your information. I feel sorry for the Scrivener programmers at this stage of the ball game - Everyone is so excited about Windows v3. It must be hard for them to not let excitement deter them from their mission of double checking everything before release. That said -- h...

Re: Research Folder and Web Pages

For the last few moments I've trying to import a basic web page into the research folder. No such luck at all. So . . . is that what DavidR is talking about? Is the process of "importing PDF Document via Webkit, Internet Explorer, and/or Microsoft Office" completely blown apart? By the way...
