Re: Any target date set for Scrivener 3 release for windows?

I agree that it does seem inordinately long for the next update. I've been using the beta edition for Windows, but sigh, what's the hold up?

Project Keywords Enhancements

I have a number of suggestions to improve the Project Keywords HUD. I find the HUD very handy, but editing it with a mouse extremely frustrating. These suggestions are an attempt to make that easier and more convenient. I'm currently using the Windows Beta version of Scrivener, so if there's functio...

Re: Any target date set for Scrivener 3 release for windows?

I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering about this. There's nothing on the BLOG since last year.

Sticky Presets

I realise that Presets are NOT styles, but the following might be handy in the case of someone using a home network where they might use Scrivener on one of several computers (though of course only one at a time). I do this, I have three PCs, a Media PC and one for my Studio and one for the Rec Room...

Enhancements to Cusomisation

I use the Windows version of Scrivener and while it's very good, some of the visual elements are awkward for me to use. I have bad eyesight and use bifocals. Small buttons and hard to read information text makes me strain my eyes and can be harder to select. Also, it's nice to be able to put toolbar...

Re: 1.8.9.1 Beta Released 15th Sept 2015

I haven't tested the beta yet, but I have had a bit of experience with other programs that let you customise the display. Moving the icons to the top is useful if you're using the mouse a lot and you want sets of buttons in the same are. I've seen that done in Manga Studio on the Layers palette. Thi...

Re: Making Figure and Chapter Numbers in Scrivener

I've just starting to use this in my exegesis. Do I have the following correct? By setting up a template for each type of figure or table format, that means creating a new document for every figure ? And even though that's in its own document, that division won't carry through when you compile the d...

Re: Codes for compiler

Probably non-sequitur but are there codes for figure and table numbers? If there are then I won't have to manually update them in the exegesis I'm writing.

Preset Shortcuts

It would be handy if the Preset Dropdown-Menu had its own shortcut, even if it was not initially assigned any key combination. That would make a wholesale review of formatting a lot quicker, because you could do it all from the keyboard, and not have to use the mouse. It only needs to make the menu ...

Re: Loss of Focus after drag and drop

Perhaps it is when you have two windows up, but I was referring to dragging from the Binder or Keyword Window mostly. In those cases it's simply copying a block of text (or an image) into that window. In those cases it's not about moving something between two windows (and wouldn't you cut it first, ...

Loss of Focus after drag and drop

I commented on this on Facebook but should mention it here. After playing with Scrivener earlier today I discovered being able to drop and drag items from the Binder and Keywords Window and being to insert either links, text, or the contents of the Binder item. Very cool, BUT, if you drag something ...

Dynamic Keywords

The Keywords Window is very handy because you can drop an entry in it into any text field or document. My suggestion is this - that each item in the Binder has a "keyword flag", with the default being OFF. When the keyword flag is set to ON, the TITLE/NAME of that item in the Binder appear...
