Progress indicators seem to go straight to overflow colour

What percentage of a document colour shows as Start, Middle, End and Overflow? On a 3000 word chunk of writing, the first three seem to be very small percentages in comparison with the overflow. I've replied to your message about this in the Wish List: you can tweet your writing progress from Project > Show Project Targets.

All the best,

I honestly cannot work out how to do it, Keith. I don't understand

Tweeting from Scrivener 3

Is it doable, if so How?

I've located a setting in Preferences but the UM is vague about taking things further.

If it isn't, then I'm baffled by the presence of the setting.

Re: Tweet progress without the image?

I think I need to get you to explain how it's used, @KB. That and why it is there as an option.

In the UM, I got the impression that one can Tweet from within Scrivener 3, and though I've located the setting within Preferences, I don't understand how to actually do it.

Sorry for the muddle,

H

Not for me, lol

Glad you found it! :)

But I can't get it to work. There's nothing in the Targets pane to click on/off.

Re: Tweet progress without the image?

I can't even find the setting! Where is it???? :) The location is actually specified in the post right above yours. :) The option is called "Include screenshot when using Twitter service in Project Targets", and you'll find it under General > Services in the Preferences. Not for me, lol

Re: auto number folders when compiling (Scriv 3)

The documentation goes over all of this in detail, with screenshots. I’m not precisely clear on which part you are looking for, so here are a few good places to look: <snip> If, for some reason, I wanted to import a Scriv2 format into Scriv3 what format would it be in, because I've just tried and e...

Re: auto number folders when compiling (Scriv 3)

⋅  The Formatting pane just shows you a preview of the result—and of course here is where you can change the font, spacing, size and such things. ⋅  The Title Options tab is where you will most often want to insert things like generic words such as “Chapter” and the auto-number ...

Re: auto number folders when compiling (Scriv 3)

In fact, many of the stock project templates will do this by default. :) But let’s say you’ve started with Blank, so you’ve got a pretty vanilla setup for compile: ⋅  Load File ▸ Compile... . ⋅  In the left column you select your Format. This determines the look and feel of the ...

auto number folders when compiling (Scriv 3)

Can it be done? This strikes me as being a useful feature to have.

Re: Export a specific compile option from Scriv 2 to import it into 3

Hi, I'm afraid that this option - the option to export to iBooks Author .docx chapters - has been completely removed from Scrivener 3. The feature was only ever intended for use with iBooks Author, and since iBooks Author now allows you to import ePub files directly, there is no need for this inter...

Export a specific compile option from Scriv 2 to import it into 3

Hi, well, basically the title sums it up in a nutshell. I want to be able to Compile in Scriv 3 into separate files as you were able with Scriv2's iBooks Author Chapters (.docx) but I'm not sure how to do it EITHER in Scriv3 OR do it in Scriv2 so that I end up with a format that Scriv3 recognises. I...

Re: Adding keywords to corkboard

The inspector title bar (right below the buttons) indicates you are inspecting the folder—or the corkboard itself. There is no way to show keywords on the background, if that is what you are trying to do. The option you are pointing to in the menu will show keywords on the index cards. So presumabl...
