Linking for TOC doesn't work properly

If you select the folders for a TOC and then do the copy for ToC, When you paste the hyperlinks on the TOC page it uses the physical address of the document in the link. I am exporting the manuscript to a Word document. If you point to the link example "Chapter 1" in Word then the popup gi...

Re: How to add back matter without it appearing in the TOC as...

Well I figured out that doesn't work as it added Chapter Headings to my back-matter. I guess I'm going to have to study more about the compile options or fix things manually as I'm doing now. I'm trying to end up with a Word document that I can submit to Amazon and don't want to give them a MOBI for...

Re: How to add back matter without it appearing in the TOC as...

I'm trying to fully understand this answer. I want to include in the Copy Documents as ToC links to my author's page and Index of other books that I have. If I understand it, which makes sense is that I delete my back matter and move the folders to the end of my story under the Manuscript section? I...

Deleting a word and the following space

I've noticed that using the latest beta version of Scrivener when you delete a word in a sentence it does not delete the space after. To explain. Double-click on a word in a sentence to select it then hit delete. What happens is that double-clicking on the word just selects the word. When you hit de...

Installing New Version Doesn't Delete Older Version in Windows 10 App List

If you install a updated beta version of Scrivener 3, it doesn't delete the older entry and you end up with a list of every installed version in the Applications list. If you try and delete one then you can't delete any others as the application has been deleted yet it doesn't delete the entry in th...

Cloud Service Recommendation for Scrivener

Does anyone have a recommendation for cloud storage besides DropBox? With DropBox's new limitations on number of devices, I've had to link multiple DropBox accounts together to get around it but what has happened is I'm now having sync problems with Scrivener. This just started with the recent beta ...

For me this would be very helpful to launch two instances of Scrivener. For example if you are comparing things like Compile settings between two projects. You cannot launch Compile from two projects at the same time.

How do you lock one window and view another chapter in other window?

Using ver 3 Beta, how do you lock one Chapter in one window and view other chapters in the other window? If I spit the editor window such that I have the text from one chapter in the left window, I want to be able to use the right window and view other chapters? I'm guessing that this is "Lock ...

Re: File corruption with latest version

No I don't think so. This is a novel I'm working on and it duplicated a number of chapters. I'm now trying to figure out if the original chapters are intact and correct. I've written several stories with Scrivener and never saw this before. I certainly could have pressed Ctrl-D on one chapter but no...

File corruption with latest version

I think I'm having file corruption on the current version. What happens is that chapters with the underlying files are duplicated with a "-1" after the chapter name. I've never seen this before the current update which expires at the end of May (if I remember correctly). I'm keeping the fi...

Re: Location of Table of Contents

That solved my problem by manually creating a TOC chapter and using the Edit | Copy Special (or something like that) to create the linked entries. The only problem is that you have to manually delete the page number references for an eBook. It would be nice if there was an option to just include the...

Re: Is it Possible to Automate Compiler for Different Scenarios

Thanks rDale,

I'll give that a try. I wasn't sure if other people had this question or not, but thought it would be nice if you could setup the fore and back matter to be linked to a single switch for the desired destination.

Is it Possible to Automate Compiler for Different Scenarios

If you publish a story to different publishers is there a way to configure the Compiler to make all the necessary changes? If you have a set of front matter and back matter for multiple publishers, is there a way to configure the compiler to select the appropriate set of front matter and back matter...
