Re: Scrivener iOS syncing via Dropbox continues to crash the app

OK, I'm not seeing much chatter on this thread since 13.2.3 came out. Did it fix the problem or are folks still having issues? I've not been hit by this bug [yet], but I'm actually scared to try to sync my phone (I work mostly from my iPad and sync my phone only every so often) or reset any setting ...

Adding a link is broken in iPadOS

Hi, can anyone reproduce this error?

When I highlight text and then add a link, I work through the dialog as usual, and then click “done.” But instead of the highlighted text becoming a hyperlink the URL is pasted into the paragraph.

Can I set “no style?”

On my Mac I have my default style set to “no style,” so my text defaults to whatever the app is set to. I have several styles set up to handled headers, and then the body text always reverts to “no style.” On iOS I have these styles imported, and I also a default formatting set. After I set a paragr...

Re: How to maintain Editor fonts in ePub 3 output?

Is the selection inside an already defined paragraph style (ie, you've applied emphasis on top of blockquote)? I'm not sure that will work -- ie it's a cumulative process. Does it work if you select a word in a 'No Style' paragraph and apply the format, then go the 'Select Similar Formatting' etc? ...

Re: How to maintain Editor fonts in ePub 3 output?

I'm not sure -- like you I'm trying to understand it properly, so this is helpful. :D As for going through and assigning styles, it's actually quite easy: you just select a portion of text already in that format and create the new style from it. The go to the next example of that formatting and fro...

Re: Odd Behavior when compiling and ebook which has both styles and markdown

OK, as I've worked with this I find it's a not a bug as much as it is an unexpected behavior. The check box will run a markdown conversion more than just character formatting like bold and italics. It will parse everything for Markdown and render output accordingly. I discovered after compiling an e...

Odd Behavior when compiling and ebook which has both styles and markdown

I've got a document which I originally wrote in Markdown, and copied into a scrivener document as plain text. I converted all my headings to scrivener styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3) but left the character formatting (like bold and italics) as is. Everything worked great until I tried to co...

Re: Can I specify .md as an externally supported file type?

I did this before the iOS version came out by syncing with an external folder. Tell the sync to make synced files plain text and set the extension to .md or .mmd. You'll be able to open the synced files in a Markdown editor without a problem. The one hiccup is EVERYTHING in the draft syncs as a file...

Re: Word count question

I originally did the same thing you did, copying the text and then having the workflow do a word count of the clipboard. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing the share button, but I'm wondering if it is because we're talking about different share buttons? The one I'm referring to is in the series of ...

Re: Word count question

Popclip looks great, but isn't on iOS, so therefore not too helpful for the iOS version of Scrivener. I have made a solution using the amazing app Workflow, though, which is a powerful automation app for iOS. It takes a few taps, but is still faster than counting, at least for me. All you do is hig...

Re: Feature Request - Markdown Export

Plain text export in iOS is WONDERFUL, but I have one minor (from my standpoint, anyway) request. When the export converts footnotes and places the in the bottom, there is a single return separating each one. Markdown parsers don't recognize this break, so I go in and add an extra return to create a...

Keith, thanks! And it handles footnotes!

Problem born of my own ignorance... Solved.

You've done an amazing job, sir. This app is superb.

Re: Feature Request - Markdown Export

You can already convert rich text to basic Markdown and export as a .markdown file. You can then open that file in any app that supports Markdown to convert to other formats if needed. There are no plans to add all the MMD Compile options the macOS version has, though, sorry. All the best, Keith No...
