I have a similar issue that may be related. Scrivener (Version: 1.7.3.0 - 20 Aug 2014) "Not responding" when opening. I moved four imported documents (DOC and PDF) from Research into the Trash. Scrivener again "Not responding" when I tried to empty the trash. After about a minute...

There seems to be a confusion here. The option you're referring to is not associated with Ctrl-S, since Scrivener is always saving your work as you write. The automatic naming of documents occurs as you type something on the first line of the document. Can you try that, to see if it helps? Thanks f...

I think I may have solved the problem. I have another document that begins with the same word as the one I am trying to automatically save. Would this cause Scrivener to not automatically save the second untitled document? For example, the first document is called "Amber was more than a dog.&qu...
