Re: Document showing up empty

From inside Scrivener, are *all* documents showing up empty? What and how devices are you syncing? What synching service(s) are you using? Where do you store the zipped backups that Scriv creates? This may be the most important question. On all your devices, you’ll want to IMMEDIATELY copy the folde...

Re: Considering iOS for Scriv. How do YOU use it?

I was chastised in a private message -- the iPhone 7 has 2GB and the iPhone 7 Plus has 3 GB. Assuming that you in fact have the 7 and not the 7 Plus, then in my days as a maintenance programmer I'd have been looking at Dropbox's algorithms *very* closely. Your significant speed-ups are the p...

To add some possible noise to this point, my iPhone 7 syncs Scriv with DropBox approximately 3x faster than my iPad Air 2. No idea why.

Re: Dialogue Focus on Windows

Bill, Yup, I can't find it either in beta 17 . Perhaps it hasn't been implemented yet. Going forward, please post your beta-related questions in the beta forum. If you want the beta developers to see this, you may want to PM a mod and request them to move this post. ETA: Just saw this thread in the ...

Re: Considering iOS for Scriv. How do YOU use it?

Hi Al, I bought iOS Scriv thinking I'd use it to get in some occasional writing during lunch breaks at work on my iPhone or iPad. That original modest goal has morphed into my currently using it for perhaps 80-90% of my writing. I've written over 100k words on it in the past 12 months. This is partl...

I'm using Windows 1.9.9.0 I create a new document using (Add > New Text) and it is populated with text I've written before. Everything in the video is copyrighted and all rights are reserved! https://youtu.be/jFTJnmLbF2c Yeah, that would drive me nuts. Have you reported this directly to the L&L...

Re: All projects turned into strange black blocks, will not turn back.

Yup, this is an odd one. If it's happening to all projects, even older backups and new projects, then it's got to be something global to your setup. I couldn't tell you what that would be, but one obvious thing to try is uninstalling/reinstalling Scrivener. You didn't mention whether you've done tha...

It seems that most people with mega-sized projects are storing lots (and lots) of images.

Re: All projects turned into strange black blocks, will not turn back.

As krastev mentioned, there have been older posts by folks with a similar issue. You can find them by doing a google search like this: black blocks site:https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/ The only time I experienced anything similar was with Windows Scriv a few releases ago, where syncing wit...
