Re: Cannot Link to Document since update

Hi moesby, Yes, you're in the wrong forum, which is likely why the devs haven't seen it. You should PM a mod to move this post to the Beta Forum. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57 It does seem that RC7 has somewhat broken internal document links, at least from the right-cli...

Re: Quick Reference Windows Not Appearing

I believe you've uncovered a bug. The Inspector's Bookmarks tab provides a list of bookmarks, and selecting a bookmark from the list opens the content of the bookmark in the lower half of the inspector. When the content contains a document link to another Scriv doc, I think clicking on it should the...

Re: MARKING CERTAIN STORY POINTS

Is there a way to place a 'bookmark or indicator in the manuscript so I can go to it quickly? As Lunk suggested, use a Comment for this. No need to split the text if you go that route. Then put your draft into Scrivenings mode and display the Inspector's Comments tab, and you'll be able to go direc...

Re: Project Template size

Perhaps there is some large file or image in there that you've missed. Have a look through the .scriv folder for the project, for any larger than expected files. I wouldn't delete them from outside Scrivener, but perhaps it will give you an idea of where to look in the project itself. To do this on ...

Re: Online Version (?)

Is there a way to find out what common questions that ask for things there are no plans for? Theoretically, all requests for fun useful new features would be in the Wish List. But requests are frequently posted elsewhere (as this post was), so no, unfortunately, there really isn't a specific list a...

This. I wouldn't my docs to go directly into editing mode if I was reading through them, because sooner or later I'd surely make some horrific fat finger mistake and cause extensive collateral damage.

Re: DONE feature?

If you're referring to the 'Done' in the upper right corner of the Editor pane, which you see when you click inside a document to put it into editing mode, then clicking Done tells Scrivener you're done editing, and takes the document out of editing mode and into reading or browse mode. (I'm not sur...

Re: How do I change search results highlight/text colors in the editor

Hi Charlson,

There's various settings under File > Options > Appearance > Textual Marks > Colors to play with. Experiment with the settings whose names start with 'Find' or 'Search' to see if there's something that works for you.

Best,
Jim

Re: How can I add functions to the menu or tool bar?

Hi, I have the same problem but I don´t see ANY of the Icons in "customise toolbar". When I click on > Customize toolbar > Format Toolbar there are NO icons there. Not one. Only the separators. Please help, I really need the icons for strikethrough, back and forward!! I use the current ve...

Re: Scrivener startup question

why does Scrivener start with a list of project templates and make you use a menu/button to get to a recent project? As with many things in Scrivener, you can change this behavior if you don't like it. Enable the checkbox at File > Options > Startup > Reopen projects that were open on quit. Best, Jim

Re: Up/down arrows and binder

Hi Marcelo, What I do is hide the Binder, by pressing Ctrl+Shift+B. This is a toggling action, so you can reveal the binder by pressing Ctrl+Shift+B again. Whether the Binder is hidden or revealed, you can still navigate using one of the following methods. Alt+Shift+Arrow Up/Arrow Down will take you...

Some input from someone who has not been involved in the above discussion. However, for that sort of expenditure, I *do* find that being the sole developer of both is not an acceptable reason for not implementing what pretty much everyone else on the planet has done. But apparently, mileage on what ...

Re: Clarification on beta installation

So you're saying that to install the current beta, I can just install it to /programfiles/scrivener over the top of the last beta I had installed. No. Don't install a new beta version over an older beta version. First uninstall the older beta version. To install a newer beta version, either of the ...

Hi lindows, I crosspost this to the developer forum. Neither of the forums you've posted in are the 'developer' forum. If you're on the Windows Beta, then you should post in the Windows Beta forum. https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57 You may want to PM a mod to move this thre...
