Re: Word search in grey was better

Hi UB40, I'm on the Windows beta and the search result highlight color is configurable, so I would think it's configurable on the Mac version as well. Have a look in Options > Appearance > Colors > Editor. In the Win beta, the item specifying the search result highlight color is called "Search ...

Re: Compile separators

Hi Tiho, Thanks! But that didn't fix it for me. I get the same result, even after ticking 'Text' for Scene. Sorry, but it's not intuitively obvious to me why ticking 'Text' for Scene, which is a folder containing no text, would make any difference. Did ticking the box in Scene fix it on your end? In...

Compile separators

Hello, Hopefully someone can clue me in to what I'm doing wrong. I'm using beta 29, with Win10 and O365 Word . The attached sample project has a binder structure of Chapters, Scenes, and Beats, each of which have correspondingly named Section Types and Layouts. - Chapters are folders, should start o...

Re: Is it possible to convert back?

HI Robin, You're testing beta software. This is how the process goes. The entire point of the beta testing process is for the devs to fix problems and release new versions so that we, the testers, can confirm the problems were fixed. The more frequent releases are good news, because that means they'...

Beta 28 Compile setting "Override separator after" doesn't work

I'm running Beta 28 on Win10 Build 18362. I've just started digging into v3 compile in the beta, and it looks GREAT. Love the changes. It did take me a couple of hours with the (Mac) manual to wrap the concepts around my head--note to self: don't try learning new Scriv compile approach when sleepy--...

Re: [Beta 28] Font compatibility with ipadOS version

Hi Kaz, Of course, this could be due to some problem specific to the beta. You don't have Win Scriv 1.9 installed as well, to try it, right? And have you tried the font with other Windows apps, e.g. Word? It would be interesting to see if you had similar compatibility issues with opening the same Wo...

Re: [Beta 28] Font compatibility with ipadOS version

Hi Kaz, The font is identified in the Scriv project, but it doesn't 'reside' in the project. It must exist on each platform where you use Scrivener. Have you installed that font on Windows 10? If you haven't already done so, have a look at this Knowledge Base article on using fonts across platforms....

Re: No scriv file again

Dropbox is a reliable option for storing live projects. BUT--if you are not actively sharing your live projects across devices, then you really don't need to put them on a syncing service. A syncing service introduces complications (now you have to pay attention to make sure everything gets synced) ...

Re: Beta 27 Crash on Open Project

Hi Tom, As I'm sure you're aware, the devs are a tad busy. Sometimes they respond super quick, sometimes not so much. Extending grace is called for in this scenario. :) I follow these forums closely, and (I think) your report is the first I've seen of this issue, so my guess is that it is something ...

Re: Reinstalling paid version of Scrivener

Hi jyhoch, If it said 'Deactivate' under Help, then you're golden. That means it recognized your install as licensed. I just checked my version, and it is the same. Come to think of it, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Scriv a number of times, and was never prompted to reenter my license key either....

Re: Syncro Questions between Ipad and Windows beta

If i install the Windows beta and sync with the same dropbox account will they also show up in my windows machine? Yes. Before doing below steps, sync iOS Scriv and then close iOS Scriv. 1) Install Dropbox app on your Windows PC 2) *Important* Wait for Dropbox to finish syncing 3) Install Scriv bet...

FWIW, same issue (project opening with bolded fonts) is also discussed in the thread below.

FYI, I haven't tried b28 yet.

Best,

Re: Reinstalling paid version of Scrivener

It is unclear to me from your post whether you have existing projects or not. If you have existing projects, have you tried opening any of them from the project page, by using the Open button and navigating to your .scriv file? If you don't have existing projects, i.e. you're a brand new user, then ...
