I ran into some difficulty updating to RC19 from within Scrivener itself -- the installer downloaded just fine, and closed Scrivener to update as per usual when prompted, but once Scrivener was closed the installer did not run. Thinking it might be an issue with my antivirus (per various other threa...
There's a few different solutions there -- the one that worked for me, at the bottom of the thread, was whitelisting Scrivener in my antivirus program.
I'm seeing this behaviour as well. Like the OP, I'm unable to select-scroll in either direction, up or down, and again this behaviour seems exclusive to Composition Mode.
I believe this issue was raised elsewhere, and it was explained that this is actually a deliberate shift, for the purpose of matching behaviours with all other software -- thus, it's technically v.1.9 that's incorrect, and the beta that's 'correct'. (As someone who frequently tries to close dialogue...
I experienced this problem for the first time today in RC13. It affected only one of my projects, but prevented me from saving anything in any document within that project, using the exact popup shown above. As with others in this thread, the problem seems to have been tied to my antivirus software ...
I assume this has to do with the shift to the HiDPI version -- custom icons imported or brought into Scrivener now appear blurry and pixelated. I'm assuming this is a bug, because the problem can be fixed from outside the Scrivener program, by copying the custom icons directly into the 'icons' folde...
Just a little thing, in the grand scheme of things, but possibly worth noting? In the first just to say I'm so happy to see the issue with the spell-checker and apostrophes is mostly fixed! That said, I've noticed it starts to recur again when the word is followed by punctuation. e.g., using the tro...
Noticing this behaviour as well -- I'm fairly sure it's new to the current version, as I've had no trouble selecting and changing icons for multiple files before. Additionally, and possibly related to this selection issue, I've noticed that the available icons occasionally become greyed out and thus...
It's always a good idea to keep your work backed up when working in a beta. However, in terms of the current beta's expiry date, you shouldn't have anything to worry about -- to date, the Scrivener team have always released a new version before the expiration date of the existing version. Hope that ...
Also experiencing this problem! (ETA just to clarify: haven't downloaded manually yet -- was planning to do so in the morning -- so can't yet comment on the multiple-installations issue mentioned above; have thus far only experienced the 'all up to date' error listed in the first post, and didn't se...
Seconding (thirding, fourthing, fifthing?) all of this. You guys have done remarkable work with this beta -- as someone who's been using it pretty much since its inception, it's been a joy to see it grow and evolve with each new version, and to (try and) help iron out the few bugs I've found. Lookin...
Running an absurd 2+ year beta trial and forcing users to go to a forum on a near bi-weekly basis to download upgrades, is messing them around. I'm not going to touch on anything else you've said here, but I will point out, just to try and help streamline your process, that the beta does have an in...
