[Beta 27] cannot set paragraph indents

I am trying to create a new style for the epigraphs at the heads of my chapters. I want them centred with a slight margin each side, so they don't spread to the full width of the page. My pages are A4 with a 2.5cm margin each side, so I tried adding another 1 cm each side (screenshot one), screensho...

Re: Would you say the Scrivener 3 Windows beta is good enough to use now?

I’ve written about 100,000 words of my current book using the beta (starting in version 12 or 13, if I remember rightly). Haven’t lost anything, so far, nor hit any major problems.Obviously, L&L strongly advise us not to do this, and they’re right to do so, but I’m not regretting my foolishness ...

Or just download the latest beta; even simpler!

Re: [Beta 26] Styles for footnotes?

You can override the compile font output. I don't recommend it if your footnotes are references using italics for titles. This option will override all your footnote formatting. I think this is a bug. It's possible this is intentional, however. You can override the footnote font in Word, but I susp...

Re: Beta Expires Soon

Please may I suggest that the devs do a “sticky” post at the top of the forum called “what happens when the current beta expires?”, which would save people the (very understandable) anxiety and save us all from the regular reappearance of this topic? If they don't take the time to read the current ...

Re: [Beta 26] Styles for footnotes?

Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions. I can see that the developers need to focus on getting this version complete and shipping it, so I will post a suggestion over on the other forum, and hope that there will be a 3.x version at some point that offers a few extra style and formatting options.

[Beta 26] Styles for footnotes?

I have just tried compiling a section of my manuscript in the latest beta, to see how things are working. I compile to Ms Word (because I need to use Endnote to format my footnotes and bibliography), and find that the formatting is a real mess. One specific issue is that the footnotes don't have any...

[LH3738] cannot search footnotes?

I'm trying to fix up my footnotes before compiling, and it seems that project search can find specific references, but doesn't highlight them. If, for example, I search for an author/date combo, Project search will show me that a specific document contains it, but doen't highlight the specific note(...

Re: (Beta 25) - editing to add any character/word in editor overwrites succeeding characters/words.

Thanks for the feedback guys. We will flip the Insert key functionality so that you always start in insert(not overwrite mode) as it was previously. Hope you can live with the current state until we release the new Beta some time next week, or simply use the Options to turn it off completely. Many ...

Indeed. They would probably forget to get dressed in the morning if we weren't constantly nagging them :D

Some people prefer the minimalist dotted lines.

Thanks for that Devin; I'm definitely one of those who like the minimalist dots and am very happy with the present choices.

Re: updates do not remove previous entries in SETTINGS-APPs

The problem is, I don't think it's leaving the full installs behind -- it's just not cleaning up the traces properly. That seems to be what’s been happening on my PC. So, with Beta 21 (I think it was), I uninstalled Scrivener, used CCleaner to scrub the registry and then downloaded and installed th...

Where is the list of bug ticket numbers?

I have seen a couple of references to this on the forums, but cannot find it online. I don't want to keep reporting known bugs that are on the "still-to-be-fixed" list, so I would like to check that list before posting. Thanks.
