Re: Scrivener error

Exactly the same problem here. Everything worked fine with RC18, now I can't start Scrivener at all. Some more info: 64-bit Windows 10 Home, version 20H2, Build 19042.844 16Gb RAM Norton 360 antivirus running, but no other programs open A quick search online suggests this error is usually caused by ...

[RC18] congratulations and a question

I've really noticed striking performance improvements in the last couple of betas: Scrivenings view (for 10-12,000 word chapters) now loads almost instantly. And I'm excited to see so many updated RCs with no change to their expiry date; feels as if we really are almost there! So, congrats and many ...

Re: Please, test “Check for Updates” in RC17

Same here, but I've also used it often and never had a crash in the past (windows 10 Home, 20H2, build 19042.746).

Re: RC14 Closes after 17 Seconds

Just updated to RC14 (using the auto-update option, which ran perfectly). Scrivener has been running fine for over an hour, without problems. And I never hit this quick closing bug with any previous version. So, I suspect it must be something to do with people's specific PC setups. Other posts have ...

Re: Bug: Red typo waves remain after word is already in Personal Word list

I saw this because I had noticed that "learn Spelling" was not working in RC10. After I right-clicked and choose "learn spelling" the red dots/underline persisted (as the previous poster noted). When I checked Options | Corrections | Personal World List, I could see that the word...

[RC10] backup bug

Just upgraded and Scrivener is doing a back up every time I close the program, even if I haven't changed anything. It used to only back up if you made an edit.

Re: RC10 considerably slower than RC9

Hey guys! Just updated to the latest version of the program, and I've noticed some significant performance decrease. I'm organizing my book in chapters, so that each chapter is a folder, and each scene within that chapter a text file. Whereas with RC9 I could instantly switch between folders, and t...

Re: Font select problem.

I am running RC10, Hi-DPI version on a 4k screen with Windows scaling set to 150% -- font menu is working perfectly for me. Tried changing Windows (Version 2004, OS build 19041.508) to 100% -- still perfect. So, perhaps try the hi-DPI version (if you're not using it already)?

Re: RC10 (2.9.9.10) - Main toolbar bug.

Confirmed (RC10, Hi-DPI). Had to make the Scrivener window incredibly narrow to reproduce it, however (much narrower than if it were showing full-screen on the recommended minimum resolution).

Re: How to open a project saved in Scrivener 3.0 with the old Scrivener?

You can’t (as is explained clearly when you first open an old project using the beta), but don’t worry, there will be a new version of the beta before the current one expires — L&L haven’t missed a deadline yet.

Re: BUG. Inconsistent small caps.

Still an issue in RC5, including the inconsistency. Yesterday I was thinking "oh, they fixed it"; today, it's back. In RC9, I'm noticing it seems to at least be more consistent. Text size is still not right, but it's consistent, at least for the projects I've looked at so far. And if I've...

Re: Interface Size

I could get used to the new kiddies interface. It isn't too bad on my desktop but on my 13" laptop it is dreadful. One absolute stopper for me is the binder. On the left the beta, on the right 1.9. How do I get the same amount of useful information in the binder in version 3? I've tried the li...
