Re: Is there a grammar check in Scrivener for Windows?

You can add third party grammar checkers like Grammarly. Grammarly claims that it has a desktop app that will work with other desktop apps.

If I ran Windows I would definitely try it -- but alas Grammarly doesn't have the same for Linux.

Edit Substitutions in Options.

With each new Beta and RC I lose my customized substitutions (File | Options | Corrections | Edit Substitutions). Where are these stored so I can copy them, but not options like the theme. I know themes get updated frequently, and those I want to test, so saving and importing the entire options file...

[LH305] Compile difference between .rtf & .odt output (2.9.9.7)

When the same project, newly created in 2.9.9.7, is compiled using the same template in .rft and .odt formats, the standard manuscript header <$surname> / <$ABBR_PROJECTTITLE> / <$p> is not included in the .odt output file whereas it is in the .rft file. No change was made in the template other than...

Re: [BUG] with double-click selection

No, This is a problem that exists. Double-clicking "said" to change it will grab the quotation marks as well. I've seen this in French, German, and English with both double- and single- quotes.

Re: Spell check suggested corrections

There is "Ignore" and "Learn" in the dropdown menu when you click on a word that is flagged as misspelled.

Re: Custom project templates don't work?

I 've just created two new templates, created projects with both; as well as converting an old template and used it to create a new project. All have worked without issue.

I don't have any suggestions, just reporting what I've done since RC5 was released.

Re: [RC5] Crash when opening two Scrivener files at the same time

Check what else is running on your machine when you open the projects.

Last night I had three large projects open at once in RC5 and had no difficulty.

Re: Dragging text from one paragraph to an empty line loses paragraph formatting

I see this same thing happen in RC4. The only way to prevent this is with a CTRL+SHIFT+V, which is fine if I don't have specific formatting for the text I'm trying to move.

[LH305] Compile to ODT doesn't create Header in RC 4

I compiled my WIP using the Times Roman Manuscript template to .odt and opened it with LibreOffice. There is no header. However, when I compiled to .rtf, .docx, and .doc formats using the same manuscript template the standard header of <$surname> / <$ABBR_PROJECTTITLE> / <$p> do appear as expected.

Re: [LH4021] BETA 31 Copy from Scrivener to Word Processor doesn't paste format

Scrivener does not appear to populate the Rich Text clipboard on copy, and some word processors may still rely upon or prioritize the RTF, thence falling back upon the plain text clipboard rendition. Word processors like LibreOffice? Exactly my point. Not everyone uses Word. I know we end up being ...

Beta 32 New Project doesn't use typewriter scrolling

When I create a new project in Beta 32, typewriter scrolling does not work. Regardless whether the checkbox for Typewriter scrolling in new projects or the Fullscreen option is selected, typewriter scrolling does not work. Typewriter scrolling in projects created in previous betas works without any ...

Re: Compile for print preview (Beta 3)?

Compile it to a Word, RTF, ODT, or other format. At the very top of the compile pop-up box is a drop-down that allows you to choose what format to compile.
