Re: Just about out of patience

I think people need to remember--this is not a game. Which is to say, if someone buys the "Finished" product, and it has a major bug that pops up just as they're in crunch time for a major paper/article/etc, they may be losing far more than their newest achievement on World of Warcraft. It...

Re: Scrivener V3 for Windows release date

Developing software is like reading an ancient book of forbidden secrets. Sometimes, it does well. Sometimes, you don't understand what you're reading. Sometimes, you wake up in a room, holding a blood covered knife with no idea how you ended up in New York or why the Swat Team is outside. But the t...

Re: Scrivener 3 Windows Release

For myself, I'm hoping we get an update on an estimated ETA--I've used Scrivener for several years, but I have some large projects that would benefit from the features of v3, so I'm holding off on them, but if we're talking more than half a year before release, I'd probably just go ahead on them.

Using tags or metadata during the compile process?

Okay, I generally have a lot of notes, review pages and such, in the body of my work. It makes it easier to keep track of things if "general outline for scene 3" is in scene 3. But for longer stories, actually going down during the compile process and manually clicking that stuff out can b...

Adding multiple blank lines in text seperator

When I compile, it doesn't give me the option to add more than one blank line. If there anyway to do that, say in the custom seperator? This is giving me fits. Thanks!

Re: Table of contents (page numbers are not updated)

I've got the same issue, and they're not clickable links. Anyone know how to get around this?

How do I add a dynamic date to pages?

I send out beta files, and I really like to make certain I know when those files were compiled. Is there a way to add a date code to the header/footer that will show the day the file was compiled? Thanks!

ARe windows 10 tablets compatible with scrivener?

I'm going to be on the road, so I was thinking of picking up this tablet for my scrivener usage.

Can Wndows Scrivener be used with dual monitors?

I have a dual monitor set up for a lot of my work flow, but so far I haven't found anyway to move scrivener panels to my second monitor, forcing me to just open two separate scrivener files. Am I missing something?

Re: Where are the template files stored?

Oh, I agree. I'm having an odd glitch where it strips my templates of any internal text, but I've got so much work I haven't been able to do anything with it. I may be getting a break so I wanted to know where they were in order to do a complete reinstall from scratch.

Where are the template files stored?

I want to do a completely clean reinstall of scrivener, so where are the template and other user files stored? Just uninstalling and reinstalling the program doesn't seem to eliminate those files.

Thanks!

Re: Blank templates

The docs folder is empty. I'll make a new template file and send you the results in a day or so-- I have some projects that need to be turned in on a deadline, so I can't do it at this point, unless you want me to send you some of the built in templates.

Blank templates

I posted in the general features forum, but this looks more appropriate. I've recently had a problem with my templates becoming blank, losing any text within them. The internal binder structure (folders and files) remains intact and they are still labeled, but the test within is gone. So far, I have...
