Gosh, you guys play hardball. :) Some little hints to feed the fans of your work - just once in a while - would be nice and so desired.         The hen is the wisest of all the animal creation, because she never cackles until the egg has been l...

Re: Safe to use iOSscriv on IOS 10?

For those using the larger iPad Pro: Apparently the screen splitting workaround discussed above for the iOS 10 "export causes Scrivener to crash" issue doesn't work on that device. http://literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=35196#p224461 I'll repost my reply to that user...

Re: Export as Zip crashes Scrivener iOS

I'm just jumping into this thread to report that splitting the screen doesn't work on the larger iPad Pro screen. I wish I had known about this before updating to iOS10 since I no longer have easy access to a Mac. Is there an estimate for a date when Scrivener iOS will update to work with iOS10? Th...

I'd say the moderator's response to the OP is a good indication it's not happening, which is too bad. The projects page in iOS Scrivener was a step in the right direction, in my opinion.

Re: My Current Markdown Writing "Process"

I freely grant that I don't understand Scrivener's relationship with Markdown, especially on iOS. On iOS the generate markdown capability breaks what seems to me to be a necessary aspect of Markdown, given that Scrivener doesn't have styles and therefore can't actually insert things like * and > to...

Re: Text is "Jagged", Any way to fix this?

I have been using Scrivener for six months and I just figured out the main reason I dislike it. The text is jagged in comparison to Microsoft word. The same font in Scrivener looks rough and low resolution when compared to Word, which looks smooth and professional. Windows 10, 1920x1080 hd resoluti...

Re: Safe to use iOSscriv on IOS 10?

This is weird. So, I have two iOS devices: an iPhone and an iPad, both running iOS 10. On the iPhone, Scrivener exports zip just fine to Dropbox and to my local network drive via File Explorer app. I opened each copy of the project in MacScriv 2.8 sans drama, with no corruption. Back on the iPhone, ...

Re: How to rearrange folders in Scrivener iOS

Thanks a million. I tried long pressing and dragging, etc., but not with the three lines. I've had my iPad for just a while and have not learned every trick with it yet. Your suggestions worked perfectly. Another way to move folders/files in the iOS binder: 1. Tap Edit 2. Tap empty checkmark circle...

Re: Scrivener on Kindle Fire?

Before we finally wised up and switched to iOS, my wife and I lumbered along for years in the miasma of Android. Years of being jerked around by the carriers who refused to update our phones a year after we bought them, years of being jerked around by the manufacturers who larded up these paperweigh...

Re: Comparing for text conflicts

Does anyone have some hints for comparting conflicting texts on iOS? This morning I had a Dropbox conflict. Not a big deal, really, but now I have a 2800+ word document in my conflicts folder and no indication of what the differences are between it and the 2800+ word document in the original folder...

Re: Just Bought iOS version but My Windows Version is Incompatible?

I bought Scrivener in 2014 for Windows ( Version: 1.7.1.0 - 27 May 2014). I have been waiting for the iOS version so I finally bought it today. I use the DropBox sync function. I performed a sync, and my novel shows up in the list. However, I can't open it because it says "the .scriv project i...

Re: Dragon Dictate for Scrivener

The thing that bugs the heck out of me about Dragon -- which for me is only a convenience tool -- is that you cannot turn OFF the voice editing functions. In the Windows version you work in different modes, e.g., Dictation Mode, Editing Mode, etc., so that if you're in Dictation Mode and you speak ...
