Re: SOS with Table handling on mac

Oh I see, you're looking for a way to proportionally scale every row/column with a universal dragger? I'm not aware of anything like that, you just have to pull the right side to where it should be, and then fix the relative widths of the interior columns yourself. Hi AmberV, Sorry for not describi...

Re: SOS with Table handling on mac

Thanks again AmverV! You're my superman! Always come in time where there is a need :) 1. I've tried it out, non-linear selection can be made via CMD+Double-click. 2. I tried. It works when the table is simple. But in my table, it doesn't work. When I tried to drag it to the right. The only effect is...

SOS with Table handling on mac

I have two problems with table handling on mac. 1) How to merge vertically adjacent cells? I have found out myself how to merge horizontally adjacent cells even if this is not mentioned in the manual. However, how to merge vertically adjacent cells? It seems no way to select vertically adjacent cell...

Re: Discussion: Underline the current section in the navibar?

Thanks KB for your comment! I understand your concern about the semantics of highlighting in the scrivenings mode. However, I don't think the Opt-Cmd-R won't create any confusion. For example, when I choose to show Section 2 in the Scrivening mode, then I move to Section 2.3 and use the shortcut Opt...

Yes, I've tried. But apparently it's not what I want. I want my current location be showed in the navigation bar in a real-time fashion.

Discussion: Underline the current section in the navibar?

I understand that in the Scrivenings model the highlight bar is used for another purpose. Nevertheless, showing the current section is important for a large project. So may it be possible to use an underline to show the current section in the navigation bar?

Re: Cursor moves too slow in the main text area

Hi AmberV,

Are you sure you have set the "Key Repeat" to the most right in the System Preferences. If you do that, you will have full speed in any plain text area.

Re: Cursor moves too slow in the main text area

I know the CMD-Left shortcut. I made the example just to show the major difference in the cursor moving speed, not necessarily means that I often move from the end to the beginning of a sentence. Besides, for bullet list, this shortcut won't work well in RTF-based documents. Does it take much longer...

Cursor moves too slow in the main text area

I just realized today that I spend too much time in waiting for the movement of cursor in the main text area. (The cursor moves faster in the synopsis area.) To give a quantitative comparison, the time used for moving from the beginning to the end of the above sentence is 9.71s (in Scrivener Mac) co...

Re: How to define the font size of inline annotation?

I've got a solution to this! You can use predefined formatting to apply annotation in specified font size!

Re: How to define the font size of inline annotation?

There isn't an option for that, however you can choose a colour that is less dashing. :) Just put your cursor anywhere in the annotation and use the Format Bar text colour tool to change it to something a little more subtle. Thanks AmberV! I already do that, but I think they are still a distraction...

How to define the font size of inline annotation?

One of the advantages of Scrivener compared to LaTeX is that Scrivener supports powerful annotation. This feature is very useful, however, frankly speaking, it does distract the attention of the writer. I would suggest that please allow the user to define font size for inline annotation. So that we ...

Yes, that’s what I meant by the chapter break, try using Chapter <$hn> instead, so that they are all on the same counter.

Thanks AmberV! Now it works!
