Printing bug in RC7 and RC6

I only noticed this for the first time yesterday in RC6 (although it may have occurred earlier), and have confirmed that it is still occurring in RC7. Ensure you can print to two printers (I print to a Brother Laser, and to PDF). Open a document and select File/Print Current Document/Print - Scriven...

Re: Bug: on a new install shows that all projects are already open

Hi Steve, that looks like the cause. I run automatic backup of all data drives to a Synology NAS. It is set up to automatically copy the latest version of all files (and not to delete them when they get deleted on the computer). As the NAS is a network drive it was easier to copy all these automatic...

[NB] on a new install shows that all projects are already open

I have installed Scrivener on a new machine (Windows 10 64 bit professional), and copied my six scrivener project folders across. However, on opening any of the folders I get the error message that it appears the project is already open and I have the choice of opening it, or making a copy. If I ope...

Yeah I had the same problem here, glad to hear there's already a fix on the way.

Re: [NB] Word Count is showing incorrectly in the Editor Header Bar

I think that should be made clear/clearer in the manual. I spent perhaps 15 minutes trying to track down what the Editor Header Bar actually was called, and certainly saw no reference to the word count reflecting the compile setting. It appears a remarkably obtuse location for it. But I do agree tha...

And just to confirm that the bug occurs in other projects.

[NB] Word Count is showing incorrectly in the Editor Header Bar

Context: I have three books sitting as separate folders in the Manuscript folder. They are: ⋅ A Boy Named Su (completed first draft, 76,331 words) ⋅ Su in Black (half-way through first draft, presently 36,229 words) ⋅ Su Walks the Line (draft not started) If I click on ...

And given their progress todate, this RC1 doesn't appear to be overoptimistic.

Re: Best practices to avoid missing content (multiple formats)

Wearing my hat as Principal of Hague Publishing I always load a to-be published final formatted ebook to both my kindle, and kobo (checking the mobi and epub formatted books respectively). I also ensure that I try to load and flick through the epub using Calibre (epub), and the Kindle reader and Kin...

Re: BUG Beta 37 (and earlier) - Unnecessary synch messages

Tested with my main project and had the same issues when I set the synch folder within the 'document' folder on the computer. HOWEVER, the problem now seems restricted to this one project which was upgraded from Scrivener 1. Those projects which had been created by the beta version (including one cr...

BUG Beta 37 (and earlier) - Unnecessary synch messages

I have my my projects set up to 'Synch with External Folder' On opening a project I am always presented with the 'Changes found in external folder do you want to synch?' popup, This occurs despite the fact that these folders were synched on closing the folder. When I say yes then Scrivener appears t...

Where do I find the RTF data files in the beta?

In earlier versions of Scrivener (ie 1) the individual document files were held as individual RTF files within the: documents/scrivener/ProjectName.scriv/files/data folder. Now, however, the contents of the data folder are a further set of folders without any contents with names such as the followin...

Re: Corrupted Paragraph style - copying text with a style from Scrivener and pasting in MS Word puts everything in bold

Turns out that I had a corrupted style. What I can't see is how I created it but it had to be something to do with emphasis being applied. However in Scrivener no bold nor italics was being shown. The solution was to take a paragraph and to change it to 'No Style'. I then removed all formatting from...
