Re: Can't Select Editor Window

After I made the first video, I found that my "Manuscript" folder had been renamed to "Chapter 1"! No more making demo videos in a real project.

But, note that you can see when that happened at the 14 second mark in the first video.

Re: Can't Select Editor Window

I don't have time to research this more, but I discovered that where in the header you click is important I made a quick video:

I hope that helps.

Re: Learn Spelling Not Always Working

Also, this seems related to composition mode. Note that I've told Scriv to learn the spelling of the word "passout." Here is the regular view vs the composition view. I've done nothing besides switch between them: Screen Shot 2018-12-10 at 10.23.07 AM.jpg Screen Shot 2018-12-10 at 10.22.44...

Learn Spelling Not Always Working

I've been finding some strange behavior today regarding Learn Spelling. I click on an incorrect word (red dots underneath it) and choose Learn Spelling: Screen Shot 2018-12-10 at 10.10.15 AM.jpg Nothing happens. Other strange behavior happens when I add letters to the word I attempted to learn the s...

Re: Change to Version 3.1 Caused Problems

Thanks for that.

I think I will just modify the formating when I find problems rather than go through those steps.

Wide Cursor in Composition Mode

Is there some reason the cursor is so wide in composition mode? Does it happen for everyone?

It obscures letters and sometimes makes it seem that there are two spaces or something.

Re: Can't Select Editor Window

I'm just mentioning that when it's not a corkboard, clicking on the title bar selects it. If you've done that hundreds of times, when it doesn't work, it seems that something's broken.

No big deal, but that unnecessary difference will trip people up, as it did me.

Re: Change to Version 3.1 Caused Problems

To do so without risk of modifying the Format, right-click on the extracted backup copy of the project and select “Show Package Contents”. Drill into the “Settings/Compile Formats” folder and copy out the desired .scrformat file. I can drop that into a test project over here and see how it goes. Ha...

Can't Select Editor Window

In this situation:

After some frustration, I realized that I can change the focus by clicking on the corkboard.

Some reason for that??

Re: Inconsistent Emdash?

Both should be emdashes. I don't have time to experiment now, but it looks like whenever I create an emdash in this one document, it is different.

Inconsistent Emdash?

This is weird. An emdash, as created with I type two hyphens, is different in different documents, as seen here: Screen Shot 2018-12-04 at 2.28.39 PM.jpg The first is creating when I typed two hyphens. The second, when I did the same in another document then copied it over for comparison. What's goi...
