recto/verso support

When will the Windows version have support for different headers (eg, author name on the left, book title on the right) on the recto and verso pages?

Image tag for Windows?

Hi, I found several old articles about using a tag eg <$Img:name;w=250> to place images in Scrivener. Is this feature available in Windows? It doesn't seem to work, and other old articles from a year ago say the windows version does not support Image tags. If this is still the case, what is the best...

Word Count zero problem

Hi, In my project, in the outline mode, some of the scenes are showing as zero word count and zero total word count. Some are showing word counts. If i highlight text in the problem scene (text file) and right click, the menu shows a word count at the bottom. I have compiled both a problem chapter a...

Re: Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

I've had the Artek keyboard and...it's ok. Keys are plastic. Doesn't have auto-on, near as I can tell, but not a big deal to turn off and back on. Keeps a charge for a long time. Unit fits in Amazon basic padded carrier with a bit of room to spare. Not sure what sort of screen protector would work w...

Re: Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

Like the look of the Pluggable folding keyboards. And they include a case that acts as a stand. The Zagg Slim Book had many folks complaining about the case breaking a few months later. I saw a Zagg of unknown model at Target, but they didn't have any for the Ipad Mini 2. The keys felt nice. A Belki...

Re: Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

Some reviews say the New Trent tends to fall backwards; the keyboard doesn't weigh enough to keep the IPAD upright. And yes, the cover does weigh 1+lb. For these reasons I've moved away from the New Trent. I'll take a look at the Brydge. A few of the reviews say that the keyboard won't work with cer...

Re: Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

That's good advice to try in person. Unfortunately, Best Buy only had a mac brand keyboard on display. No keyboards for ipad mini2 were on the shelves, either. May try Target tomorrow. (Not very many electronics stores locally).

Keyboards for Ipad Mini 2?

I got my ipad mini 2 tonight and am impressed. Next I would like to buy a keyboard case for it, but there are so many! Which ones have people used and which have they liked? So far, I'm liking this one: https://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-NT31B-Airbender-Shockproof/dp/B008RDI0TU/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product...

Re: Portable techniques

Looking to get an ipad mini 2 for use with scrivener. My friend says the 32 GB gets used pretty fast. How much space does Scrivener take up?

Re: Header Question (difficult ms format to follow)

Thanks for the reply! More exactly I want to skip the first 2 pages and have the header start to appear on page 3, but the count of pages is only at '2'. Put this way the format seems more complicated than Scrivener could be expected to produce. I'll just keep the cover sheet in a separate file and ...

Header Question (difficult ms format to follow)

Hi all, I'm trying to follow the ms format of the Science fiction writers of america guide, found here: http://www.sfwa.org/2008/11/manuscript-preparation/ So far, Scrivener gives me fits on matching this format. I have the standard short story binder setup, with a header text file and then a folder...

Re: Question about compile

Okay, I get it now. I think. I was using the Short Story Template. This renames the Drafts folder as 'Short Story'. The name made me think only one story could exist there. Renaming it 'Short Stories', and adding another folder for each story seemed to have solved the issue. Thanks for all the repli...

Re: Question about compile

Thanks for the info and the funny reply! It looks like Collections have no heirarchy. Does this mean I need to manually add every scene to a collecton? I'm using Scrivener to manage a collection of short stories. I had thought I could simply compile each short story in its own folder as I finish it....

Question about compile

Compile will only compile files in the drafts folder?

Is there a way to automatically designate another folder the drafts folder?
