Devin,
Do you feel it's stable enough for me to use?

Scrivener 3 for Windows launch date?

Hi,
I see on a page on the website written in Dec 2018 saying 3 would be out "by the end of 2nd quarter 2019."
Any word on the new version?
Thanks,
Skye

Re: lost chapter--question about backup

I found my chapter in an older backup, thank heavens! I do wonder why this happened. It makes me think I’d better, each night at the end of writing, compile my novel for Word as an additional backup.

Re: lost chapter--question about backup

Hi Lunk,
No, I opened the same project. What I’m hoping for is a backup from the day before. Do you know how many scrivener keeps?

lost chapter--question about backup

Hi, I've lost the final chapter of my novel. (This happened today, and I'm on fine, strong, wired internet) The chapter is empty, and in the backup, it's empty too. Does Scrivener keep more than one backup? If so, how do I find it? I wasn't at my computer, that's what's weird. The chapter was there ...

Re: change already-written-chapters text size globally?

Thank you, Jim, it worked! And I've copied the instructions into Evernote for future use.
Best,

change already-written-chapters text size globally?

Hi,
I have 100,000 words written in 47 chapters, which are documents. I would like to change the text size globally rather than in each chapter. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks for your responses,
Skye

Re: Force Dropbox to sync itself?

Thanks, Jim. I’ll try all this. In the meantime, I’ve taken the low tech option of copying each version of the chapter when I’m closing it up, and throwing into an email and sending it to myself. The writing is going so well right now I hate taking the time to switch brains and work this all out. De...

Re: Force Dropbox to sync itself? FOR JIM

Jim
In the tutorial, I do not find how to move my project from Dropbox to “on my iPad.” Because of the spotty WiFi, I believe that’s what I need to do. Can you help me with that?

Re: Force Dropbox to sync itself?

Thanks, Jim,
I’ll try to follow your directions. Yes, I’m in an area of spotty wifi.
I’ll review the tutorial, too. It’s been a while.

Re: Force Dropbox to sync itself?

Thanks for the suggestion about backing out to projects before syncing. I haven’t found a sync icon in the Dropbox app.

Force Dropbox to sync itself?

Scrivener on my iPad seems to have some confusion with Dropbox, and often, when I open my project, I’m told there is a syncing problem, and to check that Dropbox’s sync is up to date. I don’t know how to force Dropbox to sync. I keep my files in the suggested place: Dropbox/apps/Scrivener I eventual...

Re: horizontal dotted line

Got it! Thank you. I looked in the binder, and the symbol looked different. I copied my material and tried creating a document. This time it worked and no dotted line. Thank you for helping me.

Re: horizontal dotted line

Just the regular view: Binder on the left, big text window. It's not in any of my previous chapters, but suddenly, I started a new page for the next chapter, and boom! horizontal dotted line.
Thanks for responding to me. I hope we can figure this out.
