Re: PLEASE make the beta periods longer!

I have now had 3 trips in the last year where a beta version has expired while I have been travelling. I am not an "every day" writer - I do it in spare time and that often comes in the form of long flights (like San Francisco to Sydney long). Three times in the last year, I have opened u...

Major Milestone

Congrats L&L! I noticed that you all finally solved the table bug that had been crashing Scrivener. Well done! With that, all bugs that cause either crashing and loss of data have now been fixed!! As long as you all want to keep releasing RCs, I'll happily participate - I'm basically getting the...

Not sure that is a bug. A lot of dialogue ends with those two forms of punctuation, I'd want the current function.

Re: Snaphots are getting deleted

Quick question for the OP - Have you checked your computer to make sure it is healthy? In addition to worms and other malware, if a file gets corrupted Windows may delete it on its own, and sometimes as older hard drives start to go bad files stored on them get corrupted. If you are using Dropbox, m...

Re: Menu translation

Re: Hotkey Special Characters

I'm still amazed that Windows doesn't have a better built-in method for accents. I mean, why not offer an option to just press-and-hold a key to get a pop-up of choices the way mobile virtual keyboards (and Mac OS) works? I did a little digging once, and there are third-party utilities that make ac...

Hotkey Special Characters

I tried posting this in the Technical Support forum a few days ago, but it seems to have been ignored, so posting it here: So I started my Scrivener days on Mac, but I have been migrating more and more to PC. The Windows team has done a great job, and the transition has been nigh painless. However, ...

I think I will, haha. I was trying to not do that, since this really is more of a general feature question that may have already been implemented long ago.

Hotkey Special Characters

So I started my Scrivener days on Mac, but I have been migrating more and more to PC. The Windows team has done a great job, and the transition has been nigh painless. However, there is a MacOS feature that I miss terribly, and I can get around it in Word, but I'm not sure how to do so in Scrivener....

Re: Dropbox vs other cloud sync?

Please note that only Dropbox is supported for synchronization with iOS Scrivener. Katherine Hey Katherine, For those of us who aren't dealing with all magic that goes into syncing across multiple devices and platforms, can you explain this a little? Since the file type would be the same whether th...

Uninstall leaves some files behind

This has been around for many betas, I just hadn't reported it before. I used to think that if I missed the update and had to uninstall before I redownloaded. Now I know that's not the case, but it has led to a discovery. When Scrivener uninstalls, it leaves behind some files in the registry I have ...
