Re: Hotkey Special Characters

I'm still amazed that Windows doesn't have a better built-in method for accents. I mean, why not offer an option to just press-and-hold a key to get a pop-up of choices the way mobile virtual keyboards (and Mac OS) works? I did a little digging once, and there are third-party utilities that make ac...

Hotkey Special Characters

I tried posting this in the Technical Support forum a few days ago, but it seems to have been ignored, so posting it here: So I started my Scrivener days on Mac, but I have been migrating more and more to PC. The Windows team has done a great job, and the transition has been nigh painless. However, ...

I think I will, haha. I was trying to not do that, since this really is more of a general feature question that may have already been implemented long ago.

Hotkey Special Characters

So I started my Scrivener days on Mac, but I have been migrating more and more to PC. The Windows team has done a great job, and the transition has been nigh painless. However, there is a MacOS feature that I miss terribly, and I can get around it in Word, but I'm not sure how to do so in Scrivener....

Re: Dropbox vs other cloud sync?

Please note that only Dropbox is supported for synchronization with iOS Scrivener. Katherine Hey Katherine, For those of us who aren't dealing with all magic that goes into syncing across multiple devices and platforms, can you explain this a little? Since the file type would be the same whether th...

Uninstall leaves some files behind

This has been around for many betas, I just hadn't reported it before. I used to think that if I missed the update and had to uninstall before I redownloaded. Now I know that's not the case, but it has led to a discovery. When Scrivener uninstalls, it leaves behind some files in the registry I have ...

Re: Beta 35 bug: Application keeps closing when not active, no loss of work

Check the options. Scrivener 3 has an option to shut down after a certain period of inactivity, default 30 mins. I think i's on by default, butyou can turn it off or change the duration of inactivity. :) Mark If this is the case I would beg them to change this. It's a nice option, but I would have ...

Re: BETA 31 Copy from Scrivener to Word Processor doesn't paste format

No, this is in WPS Office (http://www.wps.com). I realize that LibreOffice is dominant, but their spreadsheet doesn't handle dates prior to 1/1/1900. OpenOffice is the ONLY spreadsheet that I've found that does. The question is why this has changed from 1.90.30. Aaahh, my bad, I assumed WPS was jus...

Re: BETA 31 Copy from Scrivener to Word Processor doesn't paste format

Which WPS are you using as your main (I'm assuming LibreOffice)? My results were as follows: Pasted with formatting in Word (both client and cloud versions) Pasted text but without formatting in Google Docs I can test LibreOffice when I get home, but this may end up being a problem with Linux (since...
