I'm trying to shut down my Mac Mini but I keep getting this "Scrivener Interrupted Shutdown" message no matter what I do. Please advise. Thanks.

ICloud Drive Blues

Ever since I switched to the Apple environment and started using their ICloud Drive, I've been having all kinds of problems which I never had when I was using Dropbox - the most common being disappearing saved files. Now I have 2 new ones: 1. I try to open a file and I get the message "Modifica...

Re: Best Way To Sync Between Computers

At your other computer, open the Dropbox folder and Option-drag the latest file to that machine. That leaves a copy on Dropbox. Delete the old project file, work in the new one Thanks for this helpful procedure, and I just need clarification on what is surely a clear explanation to more experienced...

Re: Binder Text Too Small

Thanks. I don't know how to correct my profile from Windows to Mac but if you check my Paypal payment to Literature & Latte for $59.99 under PayPal Invoice No. ID ST86916293 dated 12/8/2013 I thought I ordered licenses for the Mac versions of both software.

Binder Text Too Small

Even with prescription glasses, I find most Scrivener & Scapple default text to be too small. This is especially true with respect to the text on Binder items. Is there a universal command to zoom the text and keep it large forever? I spend a lot of time just zooming text repeatedly that I just ...

To Wrist-Rest or Not to Wrist-Rest

I just got my Macbook Pro with Retina Display and I am practicing typing on it. I notice it has a generous lower pad that I can rest my wrists on. Is this a good alternative to the traditional typing method of having the wrists hovering over the keyboard? With advancing age, I notice a little tremor...

What if I Wrote & Nobody Bought?

Is this the right forum for this post? As I have indicated in another post, I am giving myself a retirement/Christmas/birthday gift tomorrow by buying myself a Macbook Pro w/ Retina display (rMBP)and the Scrivener Mac package. I fancy myself enjoying retirement by pecking away at the keyboard and ch...

Re: Macbook Pro vs. Windows Surface Pro

I am now 99% persuaded that the Macbook Pro with Retina display is for me. However, I just read about two issues a few minutes ago that gave me pause, and I'm trying to psych myself into believing that these are isolated incidents: 1. that someone sued Apple because there was ghosting on his retina ...

Re: Macbook Pro vs. Windows Surface Pro

For writing, MB Air 13" gives you the best battery life in the Apple line. They're entirely solid state, so are very snappy as well. Do you have any other major uses for the machine that might tax it's microprocessor? I haven't come across anything that stuttered or had any difficulty running ...

Macbook Pro vs. Windows Surface Pro

I am just starting and I haven't even bought the Scrivener package yet. First things first - I am torn between the Macbook Pro w/ Retina and the comparably priced Microsoft Surface Pro. I am retiring soon and planning on starting a writing career, so the unit will have heavy usage. I have used both ...
